2002 Mazda 626***Blown Head Gasket***excellent parts car or replace engine

We bought this car for my daughter to drive to school. The radiatordevelopeda leak and it overheated. Wegot the car home and I replaced the radiator. She drove it for about two weeks and it started having more problems. It was getting harder to start and one day itwouldn't start at all. I thought the starter needed to be replaced so we had it towedto a local shop. They told me the timing gear was stripped.I told them theprevious owner (my Aunt)had just replaced it.Thedid further investigating and foundthat the number 3 cylinderwas fullwater. This is what stripped the timing gear andwas caused by a blown head gasket.

The car has a clean title and is in fair shape.It would be excellent for parts or put a new engine in it.

The BAD:

• The car does have minor dings/scratches but nomajor body damage. Some paint fading and chipping.
• The windshield does have a crack.
• Blown head gasket
• Stripped timing gear/belt
• Rear headliner is starting to droop

The GOOD:

• Everything was working when the engine died. A/C blew cold, power windows, power door locks...all good.
• The interior is in decent shape for the year...no major stains or rips in the seats.
• 4 matching tires thatare fairly new with plenty of tread left
• Brand new radiator, hoses, plug wires, plugs, belts

We purchased the car from my Auntin 2015. Shehad owned it since 2007. I have tried to describe this car the best I can.

I think it is too nice to scrap and hopefully someone has the time to fix it.
