Up for auction is a 1990 Miata Roadster (affectionately named Nadine) with a transplanted V8+transmission (LS1/T56) out of a C5 Corvette. The car was built to compete in the Fireball™ rally event (Northern Exposure. 2012). This car was featured in the respective movie. and was also found in certain magazines as well. Only reason for selling is medical and other complications for the current owner. With that out of the way. more about the car. No expense spared in this build; Nadine is not some backyard mechanic hack-job. Rear suspension is the IRS out of the 03-04 Ford Mustang Cobra. There are chassis and body panel reinforcements installed to protect the car against the power/torque of the V8. There is a Miata specific subwoofer assembly in the trunk. The top is in great shape and goes up/down without issue. Single CD with MP3/Aux in. No A/C due to engine bay space constraints (it is a convertible). There is an OBDII port with an engine kill switch to the left of the steering wheel. and the speedometer uses GPS to determine speed (accurate regardless of tire/gear ratio changes). Custom big core radiator. Hooker super comp LT headers. Car is DBC and not DBW. a huge plus for those in the know - it is also properly adjusted. Uses the Corvette ECU and a Painless™ wiring harness to control everything (ECU resides where passenger airbag normally would be).
