Description

The Mercedes Benz 280C is part of Mercedes Benz lineup throughout the mid seventies. The "C" designates the coupe version of the 280. The 280C had a 6 cylinder engine. notable torque and precision handling that made it a popular model for those in the market for a high class luxury vehicle. The Mercedes 280C remains a classic in the community and is highly collectible. It was a staple vehicle of the seventies for Mercedes aficionados. and can be seen on the road todayUp for auction. with NO RESERVE and NO BUY IT NOW is my 1975 MERCEDES 280C [COUPE] BLACK * FOR RESTORATION OR PARTS REQUIRES TOWING AT BUYER'S EXPENSEStrong running engine; good transmission. Car is located in Kent. Washington State. 98031 area code. I bought this Mercedes recently with the hope to make it my daily driving vehicle but due to my lack of experience in buying old car I came to realize that what this one needs is more than I can afford! This is a 40 years old car with water leaks; rust holes in the trunk; rust hole behind passenger front seat; missing rear bench; rusty exhaust system with a leak; oil pressure valve leak; missing the "4 Season" AC compressor. It has no dent; good original glasses; decent chromes; good brakes; good tires; good shocks & struts; new spark plugs; clean radiator fluid; clean gas tank; clean transmission fluid; new oil change! I drove it for a couple of days before I decided to remove the instrument panel to fix loose glasses and upon putting it back I screwed the oil pressure valve in wrong angle which is now causing oil leak there! Not only I damaged the oil pressure valve connector/bolt. while trying to fit things in place. I pressed on the glasses I had just fixed and they became loose again! Said all the above does not make this a complete and absolutely correct description of this CLASSIC BENZ! Therefore buyer must purchase it with open mind and FAT WALLET. That this is a vehicle in need of RESTORATION and perhaps "if" there are some more little things missing or wrong but not mentioned is not because I am hiding the truth but because I am not sure what they are. and I hope that anyone that wants and can afford this car is willing to face those "minor things". I have the owner's manual and title in hand - arrived in the mail yesterday! As this was my answer to one potential buyer so it will be to others: I am not in a hurry to have this vehicle removed. However if you commit to buy it. as long as you pay within 7 days from bid ended time. I would allow you up to 30 days (or more if needed) to have it removed from my driveway. The car is legally registered and no need for tabs renewal for it has "Collector's Plate"! NO SHIPPING. NO DELIVERY. PICK UP (TOWING) MUST BE ARRANGED AND PAID BY BUYER. Thank you!
