1991 Mercedes Benz 500SL convertible with two tops no rust nice toy

Beautiful original car that would be a great fun touring car and driver. I am listing for an older friend that bought it in 2009. He has not driven it much since 2010 and by sitting it has the usual issues. I have cleaned it up and the car looks good at 15 feet. The interior is free of wear except driver's side seat adjuster is loose. wood is cracked and the boot has some tears in it. The engine runs well. The top does not work. transmission is slipping. and driver's electric seat is stuck. The paint seems original and has a very few rock marks and rear bumper could use a repaint. Does not have any rust that can be found. Odometer does not work. It has automatic air conditioning that seems to work. The car drives well and is fun to get up to highway speeds. My friend is motivated to sell due to health and you are welcome to see the car or have someone inspect it.
