You're looking at one of the lowest mileage examples of a 6. 3 on the market today. This car was part of a collection of (5) 6. 3s that were owned by a prominent Colorado cattleman. He passed away years ago and his cars were kept in the family until last winter. at which time they decided it was time to part with them. According to the family. this gentleman bought his first one new off the showroom floor in December of 1970 (we have that car. too). and fell so in love with his car that. over the years. every time a well-cared for example came available he'd buy it. drive it around a little bit. and then promptly store it. This car was always kept in a climate controlled garage. and it shows. The interior is all original with just the customary wear you'd expect from such a low mileage example. The Macassar Ebony wood is intact and in very good. original condition. The seats. front and rear. look and feel excellent. No rips. no tears. no cracking on the bolsters. We just received a refurbished Becker Mexico cassette radio from Becker Auto Sound. It looks awesome. and carries their one year parts/labor warranty. We'll get that installed over the next couple of days and post new pics once we're done. We put in new black Coco mats front and rear. The headliner was sagging a bit. so we ordered and installed the factory headliner from GAHH; now it looks perfect. There was one minor crack in the dash near the radio speaker we had repaired. There was a leather steering wheel wrap on the car when we got it; we noticed a small crack in the steering wheel once we removed that. Sunroof works. one window is a little finicky so we'll get that figured out. and the door locks work. The 6. 3Litre V8 runs very strong and shifts thru all the gears like it's supposed to. We've changed all the fluids and filters. cleaned the fuel tank. the fuel sending unit. and replaced the air bags on the suspension because of their age. There was a small. intermittent leak on the rear suspension leveling valve that we elected to have professionally rebuilt by 600airsuspension. com. Check out their website; they are definitely the go-to authority on these air suspensions and actually rebuild them better than factory new. The car appears to have had a respray in the original 040 black paint code on the data plate; it sure shines up nice! There is some pitting of the chrome on one of the rear bumpers. and a little tiny dent as shown in the pictures. We just noticed the other day that one taillight is full red. and the other one is red/amber. You may want to make them both the same color. I'd also replace the tires; they don't leak or anything. but they're old and for safety reasons you'd probably want a new set. We've put about 100 miles on this car since we got it. It always starts right up. idles nice. all the gauges work. the lights work. the seats move smoothly and adjust like they're supposed to — it could be a great daily driver I suppose. but in my opinion it's just too nice for that. We have five of these and plan to keep two of them for ourselves. We are offering this car. the crown jewel of the collection. as one of the first. Feel free to call me at 307-290-0012 to discuss the car(s). and I can certainly put you in touch with my brother in law who has overseen all the work. The cars are located in northern Colorado. and inspections are not only welcomed but highly encouraged. The car has a very reasonable reserve considering miles. condition. originality. and provenance. It will have a strong. upside investment potential for a new owner. Bid to win. and thank you for looking!
