1995 Mercedes-Benz C220-Cosmetically Excellent-Not Operational-Needs New Engine

I purchased this great car in June of 1998 with low mileage. After almost seventeen years of ownership and 200. 00 miles later. I was recently told by my longtime mechanic that a new engine is necessary for the car as the pistons were severely damaged. The car has been idle since mid-February. The pictures I have included were taken in January as I realized one day what great shape the car was in and took some pictures. Although one of my favorite cars of all-time. I have opted not to replace the engine at this time. The car has been well maintained throughout its life. A completely rebuilt transmission that included a one-year warranty was installed on the car in late September. 2012. The exterior and interior are in great shape (Note: Small indentations on trunk and hood. Wood strip above dash cracked. but intact. due to sun/age). Chrome wheels in good condition as you can see. Various maintenance over the past four years includes new water pump and front brakes in 2011. new starter and tires in 2012. new headliner and refurbished radio/cassette deck unit in 2013 and new left front window motor in 2014. The car is being sold "as is" in its entirety. Since it is not operational. the buyer will be responsible for having it towed or put on a trailer to its new destination. wherever that may be.
