The CLK was MB's answer to the BMW 3-series, ut styled to be more of a luxury tourer with a softer, ore elegant feel. Yet, he proportions are very 3-series in every way, hich I really enjoy. I mention this as it only dawned on me after parking next to a 3-series recently.
A few important points. I am the second owner. However, 'm almost a 'first'. The car was bought new by my close friend, German citizen who now resides most of the year in Miami Beach. He bought the car new from the very prestigious Mercedes Benz of Coral Gables (formerly called Bill Ussery Mercedes Benz). The car was driven by his wife only until 2012. It was ALWAYS garaged, nd never left the state of Florida. Most importantly, ill he sold me the car (more of a gift than a sale really), t was maintained by the exceptional service department at Mercedes Benz of Coral Gables. I know that service crew as I had 3 other Benz's myself, ll serviced there. From 2012 to 2014, he CLK was a 3rd car for my friend, nd driven very occasionally. With little use, y friend asked me if I'd take it and use it as it was meant to be - driven. I've always admired these cars, o I took it in as my 4th vehicle.
My history starts with it starts in May of 2014, hen I put on a new set of tires (now with 6K miles on them), id the alignment, nd fixed a few odds and ends. Being even more fanatical than my German friend (who did his recommended service intervals EARLY), even replaced details like the lower door panel fabric as they had a few minor scuffs. I've been thinking about upgrading the wheels and tires to a lower-profile set, ut didn't want to change the original look. So the new owner can make that decision.
Needless to say, he car is ready to enjoy.
A few points. This CLK is designed to go 200 to 300K miles, o its 105K mileage should be seen as just the beginning. Anyone with Benz history already knows this. I did a few trips of 100 to 200 miles on the highway, nd would have no qualms about running it across the country tomorrow. The AutoCheck history shows an accident 11 years ago. I called my friend tonight and he told me he was rear-ended which required a repair to the rear bumper - the MB dealer replaced the parts instead. Also, he title entries are his original business lease, im then purchasing the car outright, hen moving the title to his wife in 2004.
My reason for sale is my wife is asking for a nearly new MB convertible. The same MB dealer offered $5K on trade, o I decided to sell the CLK myself. If I had the garage space at my home, t would likely be staying! Please contact me for my phone number - I'm more than happy to discuss any aspect of the car, oth before and after the sale. You'll be able to speak to me, nd the original owner through me, t any time.

Update: Thanks to a bidder for asking good questions... In the condition descriptions, call the cosmetic scrapes on some ofthe wheels 'road rash'. The correct name is 'curb rash'. It's on some edges, nd visible on close examination.Thecar still looks very impressive as is, s youcan see inthe pictures. It actually shines even more than in the photos. The clock and temperature gauge issue - these are faded pixels so you can't easily see only the dashboard LED clock or dashboard LED EXTERNAL temperature reading. This is not theengine or coolant temperaturegauge, ust the thermometer reading of the outside ambient temperature. Both clock andtemperature sensors are fine, ut the instrument cluster pixels are not fully working much of the time. Does not affect the operation of the car, nd they work to a degree some of the time. Sorry for any confusion. Please send me a message if you want my phone number to discuss anything about the car.
