Description

1973 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 4.5

1973 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 4.5

Name of Item: 1973 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 4.5

This is a 1973 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL Four-Door Sedan with 4.5 V-8 Engine. I am the second owner having owned the car since 1999. The car has 99619 miles on the odometer. See Photos.

The car has leather upholstery that is in good condition. The front seats show ordinary wear over the years.

The car has air suspension that is in good condition. The air conditioning is not working. The original Freon fluid has long been lost. The seller has not tried to keep the air conditioning working because there may be some leaks in the plumbing. The tires are brand new. There are less than 100 miles on them since they were installed less than a month before the date this auction appeared.

The calendar that appears in some of the pictures comes with this auto. This auto was featured as the March page on Hemming’s Auto Calendars for the year 2003.

The Smart Car you see wanted to be seen in this auction. It’s not for sale but it will be on ebay soon.

The Mercedes has a remarkably good metal. However, he right front fender has “bubbles” on it, robably due to rust underneath. There is the same problem on the other fender but not as bad. See the photos. As of the time of this writing the rust has not surfaced.

One bad fault with the car is that some areas of the car has paint that has faded. The car does need a paint job. The seller is offering the car at a price that reflects this deficiency. It can be driven as is since in its present condition, t is not an eye sore.

The car runs smooth as silk, nd shifts beautifully. The seller is not aware of any mechanical problems of any kind.

There is documentation in one of the pictures from Mercedes-Benz that documents that 2553 cars were made of this model.

The seller took 97 pictures to show this car. The pictures were taken on three different occasions on June 10, 015 and on 07/07/15. Some may be similar. This may be that cleaning and vacuuming was going on during the days and some of the pictures may show dust in some areas and others showing the same areas cleaned.

This car will be processionally detailed before delivery.

The seller hopes you will be able to see the car in person before you purchase it. It is currently registered and was inspected by the Mercedes-Benz dealer, eeler Motors, few weeks ago.

You are invited to have the car inspected at a Service Station of your choice in this area. If you win the auction, he price you pay for this will be refunded to you.

The seller does not know if there are some things not working on this car. He’d be happy to check it out and answer any concern you may have. Simply ask.

The reason this car is being sold is because the owner is 92 years old and, hile he still drives, he car he drives is the Smart Car you see in one of the pictures. (The owner is also a Veteran of World War II and worked at a full-time job until he was 90.)

There are 97 pictures in this auction. The seller believed that if you are buying at the price he’s asking, ou should have a really good idea of what you’re getting. If you have questions on any subject, lease ask. You’ll get a quick, onest answer.

If you’re not interested in the car but want to simply make a comment, lease do. The seller would be happy to hear from you. And he’ll answer!

Additional Comments: The seller lives in the nice house you see in the pictures. He wants you to be the next happy individual who can park the car in front of your home.

The winner of this auction pays for shipping. If you win the auction, e’ll require a $500 good-faith non-refundable payment within five days. The seller will discuss methods of acceptable payment with you if you win the auction. The seller will help make arrangements for the shipping if requested. Good luck.
