Very rare 1995 Mercedes E320 coupe. 1 of 307 made for the last year of the w124 series. The car is Black Pearl over gray leather. It came with the updated MB "double-spoke" 17" rims, nd I added high performance summer tires give an authoritative feel.
A Southern car that has never seen snow. It was purchased new at Star Motor Cars in Houston, exas. The original owner had it for 20,000 miles, hen traded it in at the dealer. The salesman who sold it originally liked it so much he bought it himself. He kept it till death did them part in 2011 at around 60,000 miles. I'm #3 and I've taken great care to see that it is kept inexcellent, ully-servicedcondition here in Austin. I've done the usual to address the initial defects - the wiring harness and throttle body thatoriginallyhad degradable wiring have been replaced. Transmission recently adjusted and runs as it should, C blows cold. I have replaced the original Becker radio with aBluetoothBlaupunkt - will include original.
This is a rare classic that is likely to appreciate in value. I'm always amazed at how the people who know Mercedes comment on this car. When I hit a dealership for the occasional odd part, ome salesman will always come out to check it. I've not seen another here in Austin. Why drive a common car? And the driving experience? If you've had a chance to drive one of these, hey're quite a treat. the last two years of the W124, B perfected the longstanding obsession it had with the inline-six. The torque is phenomenal - it pulls like a V8, ut with great gas economy. The sweet spot on the tranny is from 60-90 mph. New V6 E350s cannot touch it on the highway, uite an achievement for a 20 year old car!
The car is VERY clean, ut not perfect. It has a few blemishes as you might expect with such a time-honored classic. A few minor flaws - on the exterior, he rear plastic bumper cover has a small crack. Left front fender a small crease. A small ding in the plastic passenger door cover. The interior is very good with a few cracks in the woodwork, ypical. I'd give this a 95%+. A little effort would take this to 99%+.But the fundamentals are as they should in what was one of the last REAL Mercedes, efore they began to engineer for price and not perfection. I've just had it gone through at a top Benz shop and it should be good for a long while.
Please do not waste my time with scammers and the like. If you're local to Central Texas, ome by for a test drive. If you're distant, appy to take to the to the shop of your choice for inspection. Easy to fly in, rive out. This car is set to drive coast-to-coast with ease. And no, ou don't get to drive it off unless it's paid for!
Check my feedback - accurate descriptions, uick action. I expect the same.
