1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Convertible - NICE!!! Eye-catching!!!

If you are "car guy" (or girl), nd you admire German technology, ut still long for the vintage auto, his is the car for you. Offered is a 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL convertible. Included is the hard top. This was my dream car since high school. I graduated in 1979 and when financially secure, ooked for a couple of years before finding the 1979 model that fit my demand. Why am I letting it go? Because it is not suitable for our rescues. We have 2 dogs, ne old and set in her ways (and hates the wind in her hair), nd one that is young and I fear will use the car as her launching pad to greet people on the street. Therefore, hey have never ridden in this car. Their safe ride is the SUV. Therefore, am selling this vehicle to upgrade to a new ride for the girls.
This car came from California, hus it is rust-free. The owner of Morley Wheel Service (refer to photo of receipt) called my husband back to have a look while car was on lift, howing him that the car had recently had new brakes installed and that the car had no rust. There was also 1 new Potenza European tire, hus we had him install 3 more of the same and balance all. We also had the same placed on the spare.
On the advice of James Motors, he Mercedes dealer in Lexington, Y, e take this car to only one service technician.....a man who has traveled to Germany for years to learn from the best.....the technicians @ Mercedes. He eats, leeps & breathes Mercedes. The shop is impeccable.....literally clean enough to eat off the floor. This baby has had the best care.
The following is a list of all the new items we purchased for this car: MB wipers, APA battery, ood insulation pad, B floor mats, B seat armor (fitted, mbroidered towels), B license plate frame, B cockpit cover, otenza tires, ew convertible top from Coach Craft, ew speakers for stereo, ar cover. Also, e had everything under the hood maintained. Please refer to receipts/invoices.
The original set of books and tools are also included with this car, long with two original keys.
I have included photos of receipts and invoices to show the items purchased and work completed.
We also had the Mercedes tech install a completely new climate-control system. Everything was removed and replaced with all new parts. Cold in the summer and warm in the winter.
This car is a head-turner, o be prepared for a lot of attention. If you are shy, on't buy it. But if you want to be noticed, his is the car for you.

NOTE: We also purchased a metal stand for the hard top when it is off the car. If this is a local pick-up, he stand goes with the car. However, f the car ships, he stand will not fit inside the car with the top on. The receipt for the stand is also pictured. Cost was under $140.
