Mercedes Benz 280SLC 4 speed manual (1978 Euro)

LOW RESERVE!! I am selling a Euro model Mercedes Benz 280SLC hard-top coupe. This car can be "saved" but I am presenting it as a car best sold for parts. THE MAJORITY OF PARTS OF VALUE FIT BOTH 107 CLASS SL AND SLC MODELS FROM '72-89. This car has significant rust in the floors which does not need to be "fatal" with such solid and affordable replacement parts from companies like K&K Mfg. This car WILL need new floors installed as well as wheel-well patching. The engine starts and runs but it has an air valve that can cause some rough idling when cold. The RARE 4 speed manual transmission is complete but it has a bad slave cylinder. The engine and transmission are COMPLETE. The car will be sold with your choice of either OE MB 14" Bundt allows or OE Mercedes Benz "steelie" 14 inch wheels without hubcaps. Tires are only good for loading onto transport. This car has excellent glass (no chips or cracks!!). The windshield is interchangable with 107 SL models too. The stainless and chrome trim pieces (window trim, eltline trim, ocker panel trim and bumpers) are COMPLETE and are in good shape with only the passenger side rear Euro bumper displaying a crack in the chrome finish with signs of rust peeking through. Head light trim is COMPLETE, rack free and in good condition. Front turn signal lights are COMPLETE, rack free and in good condition. Front fog lights are COMPLETE, ith one cracked lens. Other is crack free and in good condition. Tail lights are COMPLETE, rack free and one of two (passenger side) shows minor discoloration in a localized spot. Other is in good condition. The spare tire well is solid and appears to be rust free. As you can see, his car has the sought-after small "Euro" bumpers which will fit both SL and SLC models. The gauge cluster is in very good shape reflecting 93,700 miles (believed to be actual, ut no guarantee made) with all gauges (oil, emp, ach and speedometer) believed to be operating. All applicable dash knobs and pulls are present and in decent condition. The dash surface has one crack by the instrument cluster area. Dash wood (in center console area) displays cracks in finish. Glove box door operates as it should. Center console displays some fading but is in otherwise decent condition. All side windows (front and rear) are manual with cranks being complete and all function as expected. The seating surfaces are in very POOR condition as the euro cloth inserts have become brittle with age and have significant tears and cracks. Seat frames seem to be solid and will act as a good foundation to be recovered. The front seats tilt forward for rear seat access, s by design and the rear seat bottom cushion lifts out via the applicable release buttons. The First Aid Kit cover is intact and the rear shelf carpet is in need of being replaced due to fading. The easily removable sheet metal ( hood, ruck lid, oors, enders) is all in quite good condition. The front fenders and doors are in very good condition with only a small sign of paint bubbling on the passenger door (under the belt trim) and some bubbling near the headlight bucket on the driver side fender. The hood and trunk both appear to be in great condition with no significant dents and all badges present. The front grill is complete and presents well for a 37 year old car.
