First. let me make it clear that this car is not some clunker that I picked up at the auction in hope of making a quick buck. I have owned this vehicle for about 10 years and it has been very well maintained. Oil has always been changed regularly and it's been on a diet of premium gasoline from day one. Currently. the look of this Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen. or G-Wagen for short. is that of the 2012 model year (Grille. HID Fog Lights. Rear view Mirrors. Tail lights). The car looks and drives like new. The interior is clean and very well maintained. No rips or discoloration in the seats. The radio was updated to bring the technology current in the car. The factory radio did not support bluetooth for hands free phone calls. neither did it support a backup camera. The navigation maps were also outdated. Since I spend a considerable amount of time on the phone. I had the factory radio replaced with a top of the line AVIC head unit ($1. 00) which made it possible for this car to be now equipped with bluetooth telephone. backup camera. backup sensors and updated navigation. Yes. this car is equipped with just about anything you would find in a newer model. The factory sound system sounded like it came out of a 1980 Pinto! I HAD to upgrade the sound. Consequently. you won't have to worry about your windows not going up or down. I have already made the major expenses associated with owning a G-Wagen. You pretty much won't have anything to do to this car after you buy it. I am quite sure that if you are picky you will find a couple of things that you will want to replace but I guarantee that it won't be anything major. I would not be selling the car if I did not have to take care of a major expense right away. I have seen a couple of G500 of the same model year with no upgrades selling upward of $30. 00.
