1998 Mercedes Benz S420 - timeless classic. This body style was built from 1991-1999. the last three years were most mechanically sound. Largest interior room that Mercedes ever built (non-stretched)The good: Runs & shifts smooth. A/C automatic works fine. Michelin tires. shocks. stabilizers. linkage all less than 5. 00 mls old. brand new battery. Comes with a full additional set of factory wheels (and older tires on them)The ugly: Driver side door stop spring broken (door closes safely of course. but swings without a "stop"). Three window regulators and the pass. side headlight wiper aren't working right. This car is a fuel efficient tank (5. 00 lbs. 4. 2L V8. but 20-25mpg!). super-safe - makes a great student car. the boxy design and the long wheel base make it easy to maneuver/park. Love the car but haven't driven it much more than from inspection to inspection over the past two years (which it passes every time with zero problems).
