European Motor Studio is proud to offer this gorgeous 1978 Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 Sedan finished in paint code 404 Milan Brown Metallic over Special order Beige Corduroy Velour. This very special 6.9 Sedan left the Mercedes-Benz production line in January of 1978 and sold new to its first owner and maintained by Rochester Mercedes-Benz in MN until being traded in to Rochester in October of 1989 when the car sold to its second owner until the third and final owner bought the car in 2015. The car has service records and history dating back to brand new including all of the original owners books, arranty books, ervice books which are stamped and documented along with a binder full of service receipts. The beautiful Milan Brown Metallic paint is in beautiful condition, etaining a beautiful deep luster and shine. The paint is about 60%-70% original and aside from some small stone chips on the front nose and under the headlights there are no real defects or damage anywhere on the car and absolutely no rust or signs of previous damage anywhere on the car. The interior is all original and in excellent condition showing only minimal wear to the two front seats. The Corduroy is in excellent condition and a rare site to see on a US spec SEL. The dashboard is in excellent original condition free from any cracks or damage and all of the wood is in really nice shape without any flaws. The engine starts right up and idles smoothly and quietly, he suspension raises itself up to level height and is silky smooth and free from any issues. The transmission shifts with ease and free from any hesitation. The engine pulls very tight and strong and free from any mechanical issues. All of the electronics are operating as designed, ncluding the AC, eater, indows, unroof, ocks, ruise control, ll of the lights, he original Becker radio and original antenna. The car has just recently had a service and recently had new rear brakes and discs, steering coupling, ew starter relay and rebuilt starter, ew brake hoses and steering hoses, ew ignition switch, ew valve cover gaskets and new tires. The AC has been converted to 134 and the compressor was replaced at the end of 2009. All of the original books go with the car even the original build card and metal data card. Service records and documents are also present with the car dating back to brand new. This is an exceptional 6.9 that has been well cared for its entire life and well maintained.
