1983 Mercedes SL convertible

For Sale: a beautiful 1983 Mercedes 380sl convertible in amazing colors withseveral key mechanical upgrades. The car was owned for several years by a top level British car restoration specialist as his personal car. He had the paint work and all the mechanical upgrades completed under his ownership. I have owned the car for three years as an entry into a retirement toy and we have enjoyed it on several drives.My wife has now insisted on an 'modern' upgrade and I just purchased a Porsche Boxster. This is the only reason for selling.
Exterior: 10/10. Car [and factory hardtop] was completely stripped and repainted in a 2010 Mercedes Palladium Silver which shows outstanding. This shade against the navy blue soft top is a knockout.The quality of the paint is flawless, op of the line. Not much else to say here. Pictures of restoration are available to interested parties.
Interior: The interior is original although I had planned to make some minor improvements, do have brand new door cards and covers in the box that come free with the car. I have purchased and installed new factory floor mats. All gaskets and trim replaced around doors, indows, tc.
Mechanicals: Severalitems to mention, he key items below. All were completed by a certified Mercedes restoration shop specializing in older cars. Receipts and paperwork come with car.*The single timing chain was converted to a double.*New cams and lifters. *New brakes and calipers. *Transmission completely rebuilt. *Air conditioning system totally rebuilt to include compressor. *Suspension has had shocks, all joints and bushings replaced. Other:The wheel upgrade consist of 18 inch AMG wheel with 225/25/18 Bridgestone Sport new tires. You will notice a $350 black rear windscreen I installed which significantly reduces any cabin noise and wind movement when traveling. A car cover with Mercedes logo is included for storage.
