Here is an amazing vehicle. We just ordered our next one and are picking it up next week. Other than color and a few minor options it's the same vehicle. We bought our first one in 2006 and the next one was this one. We kept our 2006 for over 212,000 miles. There is nothing that makes me think this one couldn't go 300,000 to 400,000 miles without major maintanence. I have wondered more than once why we are buying a new one that is essentially what we have now. We have always driven vans for the past 25 years and ended up with Ford E350's before these. What we have found was that the domestic vans have a lot of foo foo like carpets and cute interiors but don't hold up nearly as well as the Mercedes Vans. This one drives like the day I brought it home from the dealership. I just put new brakes on the front but the rear had plenty of pad left. The original tires went over 80,000 miles after which I put on a set of Toyo's. Toyo's are a high end tire and I think they will get more than the original ones got on mileage. I just had a shop run the diagnostic test on it and they recomended I replace the EGR valve, Wheel Sensor and the 6 glow plugs. I replaced them as recommended. There are no known operational flaws. When you get this insert the key and drive it because it needs nothing. The van is equipped with a roof mounted air conditioning unit as well as the dash mounted air. It is fantastic and will freeze you out or really heat up the entire cabin. This was about a $5,000 option and we thought we needed it because the old ones didn't have a good air conditioning system. What a difference and in hot or cold climates well worth the extra. Even the rear doors are amazing, hey fold all the way around so that they don't get in your way when loading or unloading. You won't be able to appreciate this until the first time you need to get close to an item, ith the doors folded out you can get right next to another vehicle or the item you're picking up. The wheels are aluminum Mercedes upgrades that have no damage. The spare is still in the rack unused.
My son is Developmentally Disabled and loves to twist up the seat belts. He has, n two occasions, ot so twisted up in the seat belts we had to cut the belts to get him free. The plus side is shortly after we got the vehicle we took the rear seat out and stored it in the garage. There is no wear whatsoever on that rear seat and you may be able to swap the seat belts on that one for the middle seats. There is some wear on the rear bench where our son sits. There is normal wear and tear everywhere else. There are a few repaired windshield chips, one that affect drivers view. And none that would require replacing windshield.
We have gotten consistant fuel mileage in the 20 to 21 mpg. Way above the E350's we used to drive. These vans are full of surprise items that make driving it seem like your driving a car. First the entry and exit are very easy. Everything is within reach for the driver. Plenty of storage bins for paperwork etc. There is a button on the dash that controls the suspension. If you shut off the computer control you will find it sways a lot. The engineers have somehow made it so that even in wind the van feels stable. It's really unbelievable what they have done with vehicles now. We live in amazing times.
I will deliver this to anywhere in the continental United States for the winning bidder for free. You only pay for the fuel and a one way return airfare ticket to Seattle, A. To qualify for this you must have it inspected and pay an addional deposit of $2,500 before I leave for delivery.
Mercedes Credit has the title and will release it to me when they receive payment from me. As soon as auction ends I will send them my payment. I need 3 - 4 additional days to get the title but you don't pay the balance without the title in hand.
