Description

For sale is my 2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK 430 convertible. I absolutely LOVE this car and hate selling it, ut schedules change, nd I've been neglecting it. This is the perfect summer car. CLKs are pretty rare, nd this one turns heads wherever it goes. Drive it with the top down and you'll be addicted.
Asking $4800 obo. For sale as-is, ut I included as many details and photos as I could, nd I’m happy to answer questions (through email, hone, hotos). I’ve sold on eBay many times, ut only through my business. I'm selling it locally too, nd may end this sale early.

Buyer will need to send a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the sale. Full payment within a week of the sale. Shipping arrangements must be made and paid for by the buyer (I can help if needed). I will only ship to the continental U.S.
*Please read all of the details below. This car runs great, ut has things that could use attention*
The basics
- 178k miles
- Black exterior, lack top, nd cool custom black/grey leather interior
- Automatic transmission (these cars weren't built/offered with manual trans)
- 4.3 liter V8 (smooth easy power, nd I always got 20 mpg)
- Xenon headlights
- Power everything and loaded (including heated front seats)
- Power convertible top (up and down)
- Tinted windows (30%)
- 19" chrome wheels
- Professionally lowered with H&R springs and Bilstein (I think. . .been a while) shocks. A camber kit was then installed and adjusted. This was expensive, ut looks and handles great.
- Brand new battery (as of early May)
- Brand new rear tires (2) (as of June 1st - haven't driven it though)
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Embroidered carpet floor mats
- Inspected (Pennsylvania)
I owned the car since it had 95k miles, ut haven't had time to work on the car in the past few years, nd some little issues have built up. I'm just not going to fix this stuff before I sell it. It's a higher mileage car, ut the engine and trans are great. I heard a mechanic describe this motor as "bulletproof". This car was $56k when new, nd has a lot of engineering in it.
The things that it may need:
- The A/C doesn't work/isn't cold. I never looked into it because I just put the top down in warm weather
- There is some corrosion on the inside of the wheels. You can see it through the spokes, ut the faces of the wheels are clean. The air pressure needs checked occasionally with chrome wheels.
- I hear a wheel noise (I’m guessing) sometimes with the top down. Maybe it needs pads, ut I don't know.
- It needs a few bulbs: 1 fog light, parking light, brake light, nd 1 guage cluster light (interior)
- Electronically, t does some crazy things:
The seat controls don't always move the right way. This used to be resolved when I took that apart and cleaned it. . .I haven't done that in a long time. I just use the presets.
The interior trunk release makes some lights flash inside. I just use the outside button.
Once in a while it gives me an ABS warning -- doesn't seem to be based on anything.
- Could use an alignment, nd a better cleaning (my vacuum can't get little dog hairs in tight spots). Maybe consider a pro cleaning when figuring your bid.
- The fan switch on the climate control needs glued. I was lazy and used the auto mode.
- Driver window operates fine, ut seems a little loose. Passenger window sticks sometimes (helps to lube it).

-the top goes up and down fine, ut the hydraulic cylinders aren’t as strong as they once were, o I usually help (boost) the top and the deck once they get started.
- The lower bumper has been repaired a few times, o it's not perfect. I also added black mesh in the bumper for the look. There are a few other paint blemishes, ut nothing bad
- The leather has some mild surface wear
- The driver's side mirror is foggy
This car is being sold as-is, ut I encourage you to come and drive/see it if you’re in the area. If you have questions for me, on't be shy.

It's such a fun car!
There are a lot of great resources to help with this car: Benzworld and MBworld (online. . .these people are great), outube, utohausAZ and eBay (for parts).
