1975 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL, CA Car, No Rust, Garaged, 2nd Owner, 118,142 Miles

Thanks very much for looking at this 1975 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL 2 Door Roadster that has a classic black on tan color combination!

I bought this car 15 years ago from the original owner in San Francisco as the perfect car for my newborn son to drive when he turned 16. So it sat covered in the garage as my wife and I drove it less than 100 miles over the past decade and a half. Now that we have a driver, it’s too old Dad” so we’re looking for another home for our classic. This car hasn’t spent a day out of California and has absolutely no rust, he chrome shines like a mirror, nd the exterior rubber on the bumpers and trim is perfect.

The body is very straight and solid and the hood, runk, nd passenger door open and close smoothly while the drivers side door ‘sticks’ slightly on the open. The car has never been in an accident and I believe this is a minor adjustment on the latch. This SL comes with a soft top that’s stored in the bonnet and a hard top. Both tops are in very good condition. The paint is in good condition, ut there are a few chips and worn spots (see pictures). A fog light cover is cracked, he radio antenna is missing, he right side mirror (piece of mirror only), nd a piece of corner chrome on the windshield is missing.

Take a look at the pictures to see the condition of the interior. It’s all original and shows the wear and tear of being 41 years old and never restored. There are a couple cracks on the dash,a back panel on the driver's seat is missing, he driver's seat needs a wire connection to fold forward,the the sun visor clips are off, visor mirror is glazed, nbsp;vehicle needs a new audio/sound system. The power windows work perfectly.

All of these items I've mentioned as defective are minor in nature and nominal in expense to fix.

4.5 Liter V8 Engine is strong and powerful as ever! It starts with ease and it has no problems moving this Classic It’s a 117, stroke, as injection, cylinder engine.

Automatic Transmission shifts smoothly and effortlessly through every gear. It’s a 3 speed torque converter transmission.

The car has power steering.

The air conditioner hasn’t worked since we’ve owned the car as it wasn’t a necessity in the mild Bay Area climate and we simply never drove the car here in the heat of the Sacramento Valley.

The tires are brand new Sumitomos on the original 6 1/2J x 14 H2 light alloy rims.

This beautiful roadster comes complete with its original Owner’s Manual, B Engine.Chassis catalog, nd tool kit!
