This is the last year for the "overengineered" Sonderklasse Mercedes! The Best of realized technology, craftsmanship, & engineering of the time. The very next year upon the release of the "changed philosophy and design direction" which produced the Asian looking watered down cars of the 2000's and beyond.

This car looks like it's been garage kept it's whole life! The interior is as close to perfect as I ever seen on one of these cars! the sun has never done it's dirty fading or damage deed to this baby! In fact it still smells new! Everything works as it should the only issue that I can find is that the right rear window is slow to come back up (weak motor probably) these cars have heavy dual pained windows. Some people say they are bulletproof windows. It might take a 9mm round, but I wouldn't try it!
The body is beautiful, however it shows subtle signs that an old lady drove it to the grocery store, (scuffs on the bumpers, a few scratches here and there) also front grill/hood extension bent in a bit (see pic)& are not as nice as they look in the pics, but, as you can see for the photos Nothing bad stands out!
Tires are good, A/C works great, Transmission shifts perfect, I've changed the fluids and filters throughout, replaced the spark plugs and coils as well. This beautiful beast is ready for anything! I would drive it anywhere in comfort and confidence!
I ask of you! Please be a Mercedes groupy, a true by the heart fan of everything Mercedes. This car is to nice to be abused or not loved by it's new owner. So, please is you don't Love a w140 don't bid!
