THIS IS A GREAT 2005 MERCEDES CLK320 CONVERTIBLE! IT IS ALSO RARE, BEING ALL ORIGINAL PAINT AND A HIGHLY OPTIONED CONVERTIBLE, WITH SUPER LOW MILES, AND IN GREAT COSMETIC AND MECHANICAL SHAPE. THE CONDITION FOR THE AGE IS GREAT, AND THE PRICE IS AWESOME, THIS CAR'S SERVICE HISTORY IS DOCUMENTED FROM NEW.I am the 2nd owner of this car and the first was my grandfather. He spends winters in Florida and summers in NY. The car sometimes made the trip and sometimes didn't. He's in his 90s and simply does not drive that much hence the low miles. The car has a clean title which shows one accident. Per my grandfather: He hit a curb hard enough to damage the body and had the insurance pay for the fix.
It was serviced at authorized MB dealers for a decade or so from new. All the things this car ever needed were done with an open checkbook by the Mercedes dealer, and I have the service records to prove it. No skimping. I brought the car to CA about a year ago and have had it serviced by Nissi motors since then. The car needed some body rubber and the valve covers replaced due to age. (Convertibles need to seal especially well!!) Other than that just the regularly scheduled Mercedes A/B services.
-- This is a 2005 CLK320 Convertible in 744 brilliant silver metallic over charcoal leather interior, with matching dark carpets and headliner. It has root burlwood interior trim as well. It looks like a million bucks, with no rust, oxidation, or significant wear anywhere. The original black canvas top is in great shape. This car was LOVED and it shows. There is hardly a ding, dent, or scuff/scratch anywhere…it’s unreal. With 37K miles this car is honestly just now broken in.-- Exterior 9.5 out of 10 – Really nice overall condition paint and body. Only a few minor scratches but hard to notice. One small ding near driver's door keyhole. This CLK looks great, with a deep shine to the metallic silver paint that's like looking into a mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. No swirl marks or spiderwebs in the paint!-- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, and trim is all in very nice shape. No oxidation, fade, wear, etc. as you might expect of a 10 year old car. Look at the body panels.....they are laser straight. ---- Interior 9 out of 10 - The interior overall including all seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, wood, and carpets are in excellent condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, very little wear of any kind in the interior. The original head unit screen has some melty looking spots due to being cleaned with a too powerful solvent but everything looks and feels great. This car does not feel worn - These pictures are without any type of detailing. There is no dullness or fade to anything…it’s really nice. All wood trim is bright and glossy without and cracks or fading. Even the trunk and spare are mint, spare and tools in place. ---- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory/pulse, and power mirrors work perfectly. Vacuum lock system, 2 remote keys, interior lights all operating as they should. NO instrument cluster warnings, NO problems at all. ---- Mechanical 9 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. At idle the car has some mild surges. Transmission is smooth and downshifts eagerly to catapult you into the next county. No abrupt engagement, just silky smooth shifts. She runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks....NONE. ---- Engine is VERY strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to rocket you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, no worn tie rod ends, ball joints, struts, or anything else. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. ZERO leaks or noises. This car drives and handles like new. This CLK comes with books, tools, 2 working remote keys, and line-list of EVERY SINGLE MB service visit since new, all the way back to day one! Lots of maintenance and repairs. ---- This CLK does not have any significant signs of wear, no rubber rot, no leaks, no suspension problems, no lukewarm A/C....NOTHING. Everything is in fantastic shape,-- Nits: This is a review of everything that is not 'Mint' about the car: A few minor rock chips and scratches from being on the road for 11 years, the wheel cosmetics mentioned above, the head-unit screen was cleaned with something that damaged it cosmetically, It functions perfectly but has a few melty looking spot. The engine surges slightly at idle The limiter switch will need adjustment after shipping if it is rattled about for a long distance (this was necessary when I first received the car and is necessary if the car sits for an extended period) That's about it. The car is as nice as you will see for a 2005 car of any make. Did I mention it has only 37k miles?? And unlike all the other CLKs out there, you don't have to start putting money into this one, IT'S READY TO DRIVE RIGHT NOW!
