I had grand dreams of turning this rig into a fuel efficient camper. Time and funds are not allowing me to pursue this dream so I am ready to pass the torch. Sprinters are amazing vehicles that can haul a lot and get the mileage of a mini van. Currently registered as a camper

The Good:

- low mileage

- brand new rotors, pads and calipers all the way around.

- new alternator

- new battery

- new serpentine belt

- new low-pressure fuel pump

- new fuel pressure sensor

- new fuel filter

- new glow plug relay

- new fuel sending unit (in fuel tank)

Issues:

- the biggest issues is a fuel supply issue where the vans computer thinks its not getting enough fuel and puts it into a limp mode. During the limp mode it limits the rpm about to 2k. It is possible to drive up to 55mph only on level or down-sloping terrain if you are light on the pedal.

- turbo has a vacuum leak that makes noise as you excellerate - still seems to function normally

- waterpump may need replacement

- rear speed sensor needs replacement for ABS to work (or drive as is)

- a couple glow plugs need replacement (its a little hard at starting when engine is cold because it needs new plugs) starts fine when engine is warm

- the tires currently installed are studded snow tires

- AC compressor was removed - so there is no AC currently

- it starts a little rough (when cold) because it needs glow plugs

- Rust is on body and frame

- emergency brake not working

- passenger windshield wiper not working
