1976 Mercedes 450SLC

1976 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC also know as the SL-couple. A little bit longer than the SL. giving it a little bit better ride/handling according to many people. This vehicle has been sitting for about 8 years. will still start up and drive. but is in need of some love and affection. Interior is in really good shape and it's obvious that it's always been well cared for. Paint is in generally good shape as well. except for the areas with rust. Being a California car. there is some minor surface rust here and there. but nothing that I have found looks anywhere near major. I don't know why it was parked. but California smogs cars as old as 1975. so it might have struggled passing smog. Nothing obvious appears to be wrong. The car is on a current non-op. so no back fees are due at DMV. I would not attempt to drive it for any distance other than on to a trailer. It needs new tires etc. I picked the car up about 9 months ago with the idea that I wanted to restore it. I simply have too many projects and never got around to even starting. It is now taking up space and the wife says it has to go. Before that it had been sitting at. what I'm told. the original owners garage since he parked it.
