Description

This is one of the cleanest Unimogs I have ever seen. No Joke!!! It is a restored. 1964 Mercedes Unimog 404 Radio Box. NO RUST! It has the original Mercedes Benz 6cyl M180 2. 2 litre engine. It has a stock manual transmission with 6 forward gears and 2 reverse gears. It is 2WD (rear). but can shift on the fly to 4WD and another lever will lock the diffs front and rear. 30 gallon fuel tank. I've had it to 60mph downhill. 55mph on flat. but the sweet-spot is 45mph. It will go up. over or down just about anything you point it at. Ready for camping. mountains. mud and adventure as it sits now. Very gently used and never abused. The vehicle is still 24v. but has been upgraded to an electronic ignition. All hoses. belts. seals are new. This vehicle has no leaks anywhere. New fuel pump. All wheel cylinders are new as are the brakes. Tires are new. 2 new 12v deep cycle batteries for Radio Box electrics. Rear has a 100A circuit breaker and all wiring is in fantastic shape. 2 300 watt inverters with standard 110v sockets and USB plugs. There are several power drops. each on their own circuit. in radio box for more inverters. This mog is set to factory specs. Window seals are new. Windshield is new (but cracked slightly on installation. ) 2 new door tops and new rubberized top for cab. This top folds down and windshield folds forward for those nice days. The whole vehicle has been repainted using military grade Olive Drab paint. It starts everytime no matter the weather. I have driven this car all day in the summer and it did not overheat. It has new temp gauges for transmission. I've taken it on overnight camping trips to the North Georgia Mountains from Atlanta with no problems. I have removed most of the radio box desks/ shelves and converted to a camper. The U shaped seating was professionally built out of 3/4" birch ply. Cabinets stained using a red transtint and 3 coats of Ceramethane as a sealer. These cabinets create bench seating in the rear with 6 keyed- alike storage lockers and 3 pull out drawers on heavy duty drawer slides. There is a table on hydraulic leg for dining. It pushes down to turn seating into a large bed area. These boxes were designed to come out easily or reconfigure to your use as needed. The front desk folds out to create a smaller bed for a child. The roller blinds on the windows are all present. though 2 need to be reattached. 3 of the windows open for ventilation. There are also 2 rooftop hatches with protective cages above them that open for ventilation and 5 screw caps for additional ventilation. Ductwork for Swingfire heat is still intact as is blower fan/ vent. Radio Box exterior has 2 pull out ladders for rear doors. 1 fold down ladder for side door. 2 Original wheel choks. 3 lockable jerry can holders. 4 lockable jockey boxes and space for axe and shovel. Front seats and doors remove easily with no tools. Comes with 2 spare wheels with good rubber. all the original radio box items including: 2 original swivel chairs. 2 desks. one 2 drawer cabinet. a shelving unit and generator case w/ slides for generator. 6 steel window covers that protect glass on box. I also have a Unimog owners manual and service manual. several boxes of misc. fuses. bulbs. hoses. ignition coils. orig. waterproof distributor. bridge weight limit panels. gun mounts. Swingefire heater is intact. but needs new spark plug. Still has original cord for starting. Aux pump works to fill heater tank. This Unimog is licensed. tagged and registered in my name in the State of Georgia. (Though it is registered as a 1965). Georgia does not issue titles for vehicles of this age. I own it free and clear. The vehicle is in amazing shape. Drives fantastic. stops great (for drum brakes). all lights and signals work including the convoy light and gauge lights. Feel free to ask questions. I will email more pix at your request. High Bidder is responsible for all pick up/ delivery arrangements. I will not ship. Local pickup preferred.
