1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Base Wagon 4-Door 3.0L

Pains me to have to sell this car as this is an extremely rare car. This was the only year (1987) Mercedes sold the diesel engine in the newly updated W124 body here in the United States. I've been told that only 11. 00 of them were sold in the US. This car has the 3rd row seat. power windows. power sunroof and upgrade radio. I have replaced the driver and passenger seats with ones from a 1993 Mercedes donor car (same color) - electric seat controls all work. Also updated the wood center panel and the two front door covers from the same 1993 donor car. I have the original ones if interested. I have owned this car for about 2 years and I have all the service records from when the car was new - the folder is over an inch thick. Car currently has a valid VA inspection (Oct 2015). Previous owner told me the odometer failed and true record of milage is unknown. Our family simply doesn't use the car much anymore but it has been extremely reliable with trips to MA. PA. NC and Florida. This car has NEVER left me stranded on the side of the road. Car tracks perfectly down the street with tight steering. I wouldn't hesitate to take the car across the country today. There is NO rust on this car. Car has 17 inch rims to help improve fuel economy. The warning light comes on the dash warning of the issue - never got it worked out. Also - the AC does not work - maybe it needs a charge? I also believe there is a water leak as I sometimes get water in the passenger foot wheel. And finally - there is minor damage to the driver side passenger door where I rubbed against a post this winter when backing up. See picture. Please - no low ballers. I don't need to sell this car and I know it's a very rare car.
