Description

You are bidding on one of the rarest Cougars ever made. As stated online:Roush Edition (1999–2000 model year) Available mostly in white and silver color choices. this car was built under the Roush name with body work done to the front bumper. back. side skirts and more. It is considered the rarest of all Cougars. since only 112 were ever made during its two-year production. Please notice that the first photo shows what I guess was what someone else wanted when they strangely rebuilt this car. We are including a front bumper and the two ROUSH parts that are attached to the bottom. On ROUSH's site you can see that this is an original ROUSH Cougar. Place last five digits of vin number in the space when going to ROUSH's site by clicking below. http://www. roushperformance. com/scripts/vin-search. cgiThe small sticker on the door was coming off so I think he had them send him another sticker when they sent him a new sticker for the Red one he later bought. (Story on that later) ROUSH will send you one if he can't find it. They just verify all the numbers. I think he had to send a photo of the vin number on the car and a photo showing what was left of their sticker on the inside area where the door shuts. A video of the car refurbished car can be seen here. https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=HdIQnHDpa5kThe car is up in storage and the photos are of the nasty flat black it was when we got it. He had been trying to get back down to the original paint and was going wet sand it. but way too much work!!! Needs a complete paint job. In the photos I am attaching. you will see the ROUSH pamphlet. I know that he has two of those somewhere. and I promise I will try my best to find them and include an original pamphlet with the car. No promises. but you will receive one if we ever find them. Just a neat thing he found online for his cars. Again. the front bumper will come with this car that you see in the video. but we bought a new bumper and found the two ROUSH pieces that go on the bottom of the bumper. It is incredibly hard to find ROUSH parts when only 112 cars were made by ROUSH. It has all the Roush parts. The man told us that it had a ROUSH chip. We have no idea if it is there because we couldn't find anything saying there was such a thing. It is a great running car. but it needs a new battery. IT IS DEAD!!! My husband drove it to town. parked it. I can't even get lights to go on. so I am positive the battery is gone. My husband said that the alternator may be dead because he doesn't think it should have done that so fast. So I would say bid as though you need a new battery and alternator. It has a really nice cloth interior. but he wanted leather seats so there will be a huge box on a crate that is about 4ft high and 4 ft wide that will go with this that includes 35th anniversary seats for the front and back. The front right seat needs some repair and a man said he would repair it for around $100-$200. He also hated the interior because. as you can see in the video it had yellow accents! Looked terrible to him. so he has a ton of parts in that crate that will help you get it back to the original gray. It has a ROUSH shifter and the dash was changed to a white looking newer look on the instrument panel. It also has the traction control that was an extra option. The only reason I know this is for this reason. He was working on the horn. which didn't work. when he parked the car. He had taken all the yellow parts off. which are laying loose because I'm sure you'll want to put the gray parts on that he bought. when he looked on his phone and happened to see someone was selling a perfect 2000 ROUSH Cougar. He immediately bought it because he has next to no mechanical experience. Just loves cars and had a 69 Cougar. which we just sold also. and wanted the rarest cougar to go with it. That car is perfect. but has no traction control button. All I can say is that it is a very cool car!!! It does need repainted and if we don't sell it after three tries. I am going to have it painted with a plastidip that is supposed to have another layer of paint that makes it shine. I sure hope it works. because it cost $1500 to do this. but he thinks it will sell better than with the completely dull look after trying to slowly and painfully remove all the flat black paint the other guy used on it. The poor guy probably didn't know that whoever painted it just painted over the old original beautiful shiny paint!!! They didn't even prep it to hold the paint so it was just slowly chipping down to what was a wonderful shiny black paint. WHAT A SHAME!! The paint needed to come off anyway because the shipper chipped the paint in transit. Didn't dent it or anything. but chipped the paint in several places. Actually wasn't that hard since you could just rub against the car and the flat black would just chip away. Please ask me any question you at all and I will do everything I possibly can to help so you're pleased with your purchase. Anyway. if it doesn't sell. you'll see it back unless I can convince him to just scrap it and sell the parts to get his money back. The price we are starting at is $500 below what he paid for the car. and does not include the $900 worth of parts in the crate with leather seats and parts. I am asking a $250 deposit at close of auction. Thank you!!
