- ONE Owner - purchased on 1/21/2002 at Denny Ford (now Sakelaris Ford, olla, issouri- NO accidents.- Can provide CARFAX too.
- Serviced only at a dealership, xcept for tires (Big-O-Tires) and hood struts.- Maintained following Ford's recommended service schedule (or better).- Tried my best to get this car into the dealership every 3,000 miles for L.O.F. (used only Motorcraft's 5W-20 oil and filter).- Waxed once a year with Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax - Pure Synthetic Polymer.- Has been getting about 17 mpg around town and 23 mpg on freeway.- No smoking allowed in car - ever.- So far, his car has ran great and served me well.I know of no mechanical problems with this car.- The only parts that have been replaced, ther than wearable ones (brakes, elts, lugs, xygen sensors, tc.), ave been an electronic automatic temperature control unit (EATC) and the hood struts (shock absorbers to hold the front hood up).
This car is for sale for only one reason. I have an 88 year old Uncle, ho had four cars, nd offered me one of them. The car my Uncle offered was . . . yep you guessed it - another Grand Marquis. His was a 2008 with 47,000 miles. Thus, do not need this 2002 Grand Marquis anymore. My car philosophy is simple. They are the modern equivalent of a cowboy's horse. Unless you like walking, r are rich and like buying new horses, ou had better take care of the one you've got. Besides, ou can't replace this horse anymore. It has a frame, 8, eats six; and a trunk that can hold the wife and kid's luggage when they exceed the "one bag" per person limit.
Speaking of kids, articularly teenage ones just getting their licenses, uy them this car instead of that red Mustang they want. Because it seats six, hey will most likely be the ones doing the driving - and not riding with the other teenagers you don't know. Believe me, ou will sleep better.
Some concern's I do have about thecar are the following:(1) Some oxidation on the aluminum wheels - Big-O-Tires says it is typical for the age of the car.(2) Chips in the paint on the passenger rear door (Due to being parked next to a rude person).(3) Wear on driver's side floor mat - needs replaced.(4) Missing small clip on driver's door pull that holds down trim.(5) Bug and rock chips on lower front plastic bumper.(6) Two tires at 7/32" and two at 5/32" (Measured on Nov. 11, 015)
