up for sale is my 1997 Mercury Cougar xr7..... Just 116k miles...... I have been driving this car daily for months and have put thousands of miles on it.... I have taken it on several long trips and would not be afraid to drive it to the coast and back today, he engine, ranny and rear end are all awesome but the car is not perfect.....even with the following list of problems I would not hesitate to take it on any long trip today. I can store the car as long as you need up to a year and start and drive it weekly if you need time to pick it up.I will accept a NON-REFUNDABLE $300 Paypal payment as a deposit and the rest in postal money order or cash or all cash within 7 days.



Below is the list of the bad things about the car:

Paint is not perfect

Vinyl top is not perfect but it was put on at the dealership not the factory so it can be removed

The front end shakes a bit when on the brakes hard

passenger handle on outside does not work

passenger window does not work

radiator or radiator hose leaks a little once in a while not all of the time just random and has not done it in a while

has a code for the cam sensor but it has a new sensor so it has to be the pigtail at the sensor, r wiring to the sensor, r need a new computer, ven with the code the engine still runs awesome, an even better when the code was not on.

driver power door lock does not work, t does work with the key

one of the wheels has a wheel lock lug nut on it that I do not have the key for I do have a loose matching lock nut to get a key with

The throttle cable is starting to fray a little so mashing at the throttle is not a good idea

The tags are expired

The title is signed by the previous owner but will need notarized, do not know a notary that will do this that is up to the buyer

There is no spare tire

There is a small chunk of taillight missing from one of the taillights that has red taillight tape covering it up

The headliner is not perfect it has some holes in it toward the back window but its not sagging so that is good

There is 1 tear in the driver seat a couple inches long at the seam, ot too bad the foam is all fine

Below this is just a few good things about the car

Glass is all perfect

wipers work

Driver power window works

Rear defroster works

2 keys with remote fob with power locks and trunk popper (driver door lock used to work now does not passenger lock still works and trunk still works and panic button works as well)

Tires all match with plenty of tread and none leak

Does have a clean clear Oklahoma title not salvage

Stone reliable

all the gauges work

Engine sounds great, ires right up, o knocks, moke etc etc, ery powerful 0-60 in 8 seconds

tranny shift perfect

Rear end works perfect

blinkers and lights all work

radio works

Hot heat and freezing cold ac

almost new battery

Brand new platinum plugs and new plug wires 3 months ago ($100 parts only)

Not rusted

There are no real leaks to speak of other than the mentioned radiator or hose leak on the passenger front right near the seam of the plastic and aluminum that only leaks once in a while and very very little and is currently not leaking....New radiators are $80 on ebay but it is leaking so little and so seldom I would not mess with it

The car is listed locally on Craigslist for $900 cash, t is $960 on ebay to cover fees....

The car is for sale at my convenience not anyone else's,.....I currently have time most days Monday through Thursday from about 9-2 to show the car....hours other than those I prefer to not do any work stuff.
