1983 Mercury Capri RS. Performance white with Black Interior. Clean CTTitle in Hand.The timeand modifications into this Capri is like no other.These are very hard to come by, especially one modified to this extent. The Capri was stripped to bare shell and was sent to American Dry Stripping to be sandblasted down to bare metal, the fenders and k member were also sandblasted down. After that process the car was Lizard Skinned (sound deadener and undercoat) to the entire floor top and bottom of the shell, as well as the insides of the fenders ($1272.00 just for the sandblasting).
The car was then sent to Stanley'sAutobody for a complete repaint. The Mercury was then painted Ford Performance Whitewith Dupont Waterbase Paint (2012).The car shines absolutely beautifully and still shows like new with no defects. I have some leftover paint in a pint that will be given to the next owner. The Capri sits on a set of staggered TSW 18" Valencia Wheels with Nitto NT05 front tires and Nitto NT05R rear tires (Staggered). I have a Marti Report for the Capri which shows it is an original 5.0L 5 Speed car produced on February 7, 1983. The Ford Racing 331 block was purchased new in May of 2015, and was then assembled by Danbury Competition Engines in Danbury CT. The engine sounds beautiful with no smoking, noises, or leaks.

The negatives: The vehicle was tuned with Megasquirt tuning, it really needs to be tuned for cold starts. It acts like a carbureted car and stalls out without a little gas. It only does this on cold starts, once it sees a little temperature it is fine and holds idle just fine. The driver door gasket is still new and it takes a little extra effort to shut the door. The factory air conditioning set up is in place, the compressor with bracket is not, the compressor went bad and was never replaced. Install a new compressor, charge it, and it will work.
