1963 Comet S-22 Bought in California -has a California title. The Comet is powered by a 1989 Mustang H. O. 302 Engine with basically everything else stock. The S-22 Package was billed as a Sport Package with the only changes being S-22 Badging. Bucket Seats and Center Console. The S-22 had 6 bullet-shaped Tail Lights instead of 4 oval with 2 flat Reverse Lights. Body - The Comet is painted white with some touch up with white primer. All of the sheetmetal is really solid as is the Floor Boards and Trunk (see pictures). The Floor Boards in the pictures have a little of the black insulation left but no rust. The same for Trunk Pan. There is 1 box of Floor Insulation that comes with the Comet (see pictures) but no carpet. Interior - All of the interior is with the car but it needs an interior kit. The Headliner is showing some wear as well but a new Headliner Light is included. The Door Panels are in the best shape of all of the interior and can be re-used. The Console is included which those were known to disappear and are hard to find. Engine - The gentleman I bought the Comet from installed the 1989 Mustang H. O. 302 in the Comet and it runs super! When started. it has that Mustang rumble and has a lot of pick-up off the line. It has a Quick-Silver Ratchet Shifter that helps ease thru the gears if need be and the brakes bring the car to a halt adequately. There are no evident leaks on the Comet that I have noticed. Chrome - The Front Bumper is faded a little but without dings and fits nicely. The Rear Bumper has peeled in some places and has been painted silver to cover up those areas. All of the chrome is intact except 1 piece on the driver side that I'm having straightened. The Spear on the top of the driver side Front Fender is nice (in pictures). I just haven't fastened to the car. The S-22 Badge and Small Spear in the picture not on the car was bought recently online. The Comet was missing these 2 parts and I was lucky enough to find them. Extra Parts - There are 2 chrome Seat Hinges (brand new). some floor insulation and various other small parts that go with the Comet. Tires - All 4 tires look to be fairly new with most of the tread still there. Story of Comet - I bought the Comet at the Goodguys Pleasanton Run in California last August and brought it back to Tennessee as a project. We rarely find cars back home as solid as this one especially with an H. O. Mustang Engine already installed. As projects change. I'm not going to be able to finish this Driver/Project but someone could fairly easily. Bid with confidence as I've tried to be as descriptive as I can. Please come by and look at the Comet before bidding as you will understand how good of a car this really is. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or delivery. The Comet is for sale locally and can be pulled out of the auction at any time.
