This is a NOT a 1980 Model.Due to the Short Vin # i was not able to Load the Advert. The car is a 1982 Model.
1982 Mini Clubman 1275 E. ( NOT THE GT ) Right Hand Drive. White with a Checkered Roof ( Black Checkers are transfers and can be removed )This Mini was Manufactured in South Africa and is the Economic version of the British GT. It has one carburetor rather than 2 and a larger petrol tank.
The Speedometer is in KPH rather than MPH due to its South Africa Build. The 88,080 KILOMETERS on the Gauge converts to 54,730 MILES.
Manufactured in 1982 in South Africa. The car was imported into the UK IN 1986. In 2010 I purchased the car and imported into the USA, am the 3RD owner. I have not used it much but when i have it has been very reliable and enjoyable to drive. Although the car is in good shape there are some areas that will need attention ( see Photos ). The areas that need attention can be easily addressed by a body shop or someone who knows about Mini Body work. The footwell ( Under the carpet ) is not rust but old glu, some very light rust is present. I think that this car, ith some attention, ould be very easily updated and upgraded to be a very nice car. While the Clubman has not shared the popularity of the standard Round Nose Mini they are now becoming more desirable. Prices for the Clubman are climbing, ne was advertised here on E-bay for $17,000 +This brakes on this car are "4 WHEEL DRUM BRAKES ". The Radiator has been upgraded to an Aluminum unit to improve the cooling capacity. This car will keep up with everyday traffic but should not be confused with a Mini that can be driven hard on a track or in a competitive manner. As with nearly all Minis there are areas that are prone to rust, he subframes on this car are good but not new some body work will ned to be addressed at some time in the future. If you need additional pictures please ask. I have a collection of MOT certificates and invoices that give a partial history of the mechanical maintenance of the car over the years.
New Slave cylinderNew Distributor. ( Contactless ignition )Upgraded Aluminum Radiator.Sliding Sun roof.Cobra bucket seats.Kenwood CD player.MiniLite 4.5 X 10 .Original Mini 1275 E sales Book.Original Mini 1275 E Handbook.
