1962 Ford M151 MUTT M416 M38 M38A1 Jeep Willys USMC ARMY MARINES Vietnam War

Thanks for checking out my 1962 Ford M151 Mutt with matching M416 Cargo Trailer. ThisearlyMUTT is a rare uncut version and in great shape, eady for any parade and show ready. This M151 just came out of a local Museum full of Military vehicles and other classic cars owned by a 91 year old WW1 and Korean War Marine Veteran.The first series of M151 built in 1959 as 1960 models lasted until 1963. The M151 was built to take over the M38 and M38A1 models. The first series were built by Ford Motor Co. The next versionsthe military also contracted some with Kaiser and AMGeneral Corp. The M151A1 second version started in 1964-1970, nd M151A2 third version was from 1970-1982. The military used these vehicles all the way up until 1999. The condition of this M151 is in great shape. No Rust first of all, nd is a Rare Uncut version, his is the first question any one looking for a MUTT asks, nd even if they say it is uncut, look for myself, hat is why I put it up on my lift so you could see it in and out. When many of these rigs went over to Vietnam, when they got shipped back they cut them into 4 separate pieces, his one escaped that, nd very few are UN-CUT versions, nd are the most desirable among true collectors. I took pictures underneath as well so you can see all the components. The body is in excellent shape, ot over restored, hese were military rigs, estored to be a very Authentic USMC military Mutt. Take a look at the pictures, nd you will see this is of the nicest around for sale currently, f you have private museum or collection this M151 is a must! Also notice that these is running the early style Magnesium Wheels very hard to find, ater ones had stamped steel like you see on the trailer. Yes the M416 trailer is part of the sale, nd can easily fit on a transport vehicle, ront of the Mutt to the back of the trailer is around 18' feet long, he size of a full size 1960's station wagon, o no problem transporting. Everything you see in the pictures comes with it, he USMC and US Flag, VPA Flag, orking Radio, ield Phone, amouflage Field netting, he MP helmet, oogles, he M16 is not real it is just a prop you get that as well. Also, as 2 shovels,Axe and gas cans, tc etc. This is a very nice vehicle, nd looks great. The trailer is in excellent shape, ee the pictures, o rust everything works, ights, rakes, tc. All stencils are decals, o if you want different numbers and letters you can have them redone to match what you drove back in the day, r loved one.

Mechanically the M151 is in excellent shape. It starts right up, oes not leak oil, oes not blow smoke, drive it all over the place, nd it is a hoot, elieve me it is an eye catcher, nd when you hit the Air Raid Siren, ou are going to get all types of looks. If you have ever driven a M38 or M38A1, his M151 is a different animal, ery tough, ut sits low, o easy to get in and out, nd they ride so smooth with the independent rearend. All the lights work, he dash lights work, he Red Dash glow lights for night time use, nd nighttime headlight works. It has been upgraded with an Air Raid Siren, hich sounds great, ot correct, ut how can one resist putting one on. All the gauges work, his Mutt only has 38K on it and is in great condition. Still running its 24V system as well, ith new batteries, nd trickle chargers installed as well under the seat. The tires are in good shape, ilitary all the way around, s you probably already know these tires are not cheap. The transmission shifts good, lutch feels great no chatter, rakes are good as well. Mechanically nothing to do to it, esides just get in and drive it.

Interior is in great shape, riginal correct canvas seats, nd canvas top in excellent shape, o rips or tears. Correct winter grill insert as well in excellent condition. No rust on the floors, verything inside is in good repair. The top does come off, nd the front windshield does fold forward. Under the passenger seat is the batteries, nd a compartment for jack,first aid kit etc. Overall interior is in great condition.
