1978 MERCEDES BENZ 300CD DIESEL COUPE FOR SALE. THIS IS A RARE GEM WITH ORIGINAL PAINT COLOR. I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR A NEIGHBOR OF MINE. THE TITLE IS CLEAR AND AND YOU DO NOT NEED SMOG ON THIS VEHICLE. IT HAS ONLY 164100 MILES. KEN WOOD CD STEREO AND ALPINE SPEAKERS. THE INTERIOR IS IN GOOD CONDITION WHEN COMPARED TO A 38 YEARS OLD CAR. THERE IS A TEAR ON THE ARMREST AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT AS THE PICTURES SHOW. This car was first owned by an Actor ( Patrick S. )

All mechanical systems are well maintained and engine compression is strong and car drives and handles really well.
The instrument cluster sopped working at 124200 miles and an hour clock was installed to calculate the hours driven before the cluster was fixed.

The AC is not working and the AC control servo was bypassed which makes the car more dependable but now will only blow hot air to defrost windows which is a good thing.
The open roof works but needs to be greased. Lubricate before opening it. The driver's rear window does not roll down which is a common phenominon. Two rust bubbles on the passenger's driver's side as you can see on the picture. The bubbles are less visible.
