Description

This vehicle is in good condition. I bought it in 2002 and I'm told I am the third owner. It has lived it's life in southern Ca. except for anoccasionaltrip to Baja.I have not been driving it and it has not been on the road much in the last 10 years. It does have some rust but mostly limited to the standard area's (Rear quarter panels, ocker panels) It does have a little rust coming through lower tail gate. Thecowlvent leaks and will get the carpet wet during rain or washing (Not much rain here) so I'm assuming there will be some rust on floor boards. I have not torn carpets up to look but there is noevidencefrom underneath. The odometer reads 61616 but I'm sure it has rolled over soprobably161616. This vehicle is in mostly original condition although there are some specificchangesthat I can pass on. Theprevious owner added dual batteries (for accessory use)Headers, ull roll bar, auxiliarygas tank and a differentcarburetor. He alsocustomizedthe interior for his personal use as well as enlarged the rear wheel openings for the larger tires he was running at the time. My plan was to remove the added interior features and reinstall both jump seats (that I do have) for this vehicle. There are some changes (upgrades) that I have made as well. 4 spd trans, ower steering, ront disc brakes and Warn locking hubs. Mechanical condition for this vehicle is pretty good. Drive train /transfercase work but may be a little dry from sitting. everything functioned very well when I was driving it on a regular basis. I had this vehicle checked out by TLC shortly after I bought it and the report was good. They did discover that one of thecylinders had lower compression than the others but was within specs. The water pump is making noise and I'm sure should be replaced. Starting fluid is needed to start it after it sits awhile. after it warms up it stars right up on it's own.Carburetorsealsprobablydried up from sitting. Rebuild in order I'm sure. This is a pretty tight truck in my opinion and with very little attention could be the dependable work horse these FJ40's are known for. Registration is current and title is clear. I have reported history and condition to the best of my knowledge. The attached pictures are intended to reflect some of what I've written about and overall condition. It should be noted that this vehicle is being sold as is and any bidder shouldconsider it's used condition. Conditions of sale are cash or wire transfer to my account. a bill of sale and transfer of title will happen at that time.
