Description

No Reserve Auction!! It will sell to the highest bidder so bid often and bid early. Thanks for checking out another cool ride offered by M. E. S. Motorsports; where our cars are notorious for Making Everyone Stare! Let me start by saying that this car was built with the sole intention of being a tribute to the late and great Paul Walker. may he RIP. and I am in no way trying to make a dime off of his name. I always wanted to do one of these cars and after he passed. I felt the time was right. I will be donating a portion of the proceeds of this sale to Paul's charity. https://www. roww. org/. This is my personal vehicle registered and insured in my name. This was not a business venture in anyway. I chose to list it under this eBay name simply because we are trying to build the feedback up. Now on to the details of the car: History – My intention was to build a close replica to the green 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Paul in the original movie "The Fast and the Furious". So I bought this 1995 Eclipse GST from a gentleman in PA that had owned the car for 11 years and had lost interest in it. He stored the car in the winters so it never saw snow. I brought the car down here in December of 2013 and have been working on it in my spare time ever since. I have spent thousands upon thousands trying to locate some of discontinued movie parts and such. Overall the car runs well and is a blast to drive. It's a real head turner. Drivetrain/Performance mods – Factory 4G63 turbo motor with 103. xx miles and a manual 5 speed transmission. Previous owner had the head refreshed and the T-25 turbo housing ported and fitted with T-28 internals. It has aftermarket cams and a polished one piece crankshaft pulley. Greddy Type S blow off valve. Greddy turbo timer. AEM Tru Boost controller. 4" cold air intake with 6" filter. EVO fuel pump with Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator. Car also had an electric fan powered by a separate switch. Full 3" Stainless Exhaust with tubular header. catless downpipe and Tanabe muffler. Very expensive exhaust setup and it sounds really good. New timing belt and clutch were installed last year. Car was dialed in on the dyno with a conservative tune at 16 lbs of boost and made 271. 8 WHP. Car runs well and has some nice pickup to it. Exterior – The car has the movie correct Blitz Body kit and is painted PPG Lime green just like the movie car. It is not molded to the car as the movie car was not molded. It has a custom made Furious Hawk graphic like the movie car. Not all of the other smaller graphics are correct to the movie but were put on by previous owner as they were parts on the car. I installed a new Seibon Carbon fiber hood with locking hood pins and correct Modern Image hood graphic. It has 97-99 newer style headlights with HID kit. It also has the movie correct APR wing that is discontinued and nearly impossible to get these days. The only thing missing from the cars exterior would be the infamous roof scoop as this is a factory sunroof car. I have purchased the roof scoop and a non sunroof panel off a wrecked Eclipse that I will include with the car. This was my next project for the car but it doesn't appear that I will to able to do it. I have a paint and body guy that will do the job if you want to discuss including that in the price. Underneath - The car does have neon undercar lighting as the movie car did. I installed a new StreetGlow Gold series green neon kit. These are the best on the market in my opinion. As the car was stored in the winters. underneath is clean and rust free. Interior – New Black/Grey Procar racing seats with sliders. These look like the Sparco Torino 2's that were in the movie car but are more comfortable in my opinion which is why I went with these. I also installed new black carpet(it was my first time and I cut it a little short at passenger seat. see pic). There is no carpet in the back hatch area nor is there a spare tire. Carbon fiber pedal covers and a short throw shifter with movie correct style shift knob. Blue shifter boot and carbon fiber accents and dash and doors. Indigo color changing dash lights that look really good at night. A pillar 3 gauge pod with AEM Tru boost. AEM analog wideband and volt gauges. I also installed a Sparco Naxos steering wheel so the drivers airbag is disabled. The car still retains working heat and AC. Viper Alarm and Greddy turbo timer. Panasonic CD player head unit. Chassis/Suspension - As the movie car was actually on stock suspension. so is this car. It does have an upper front strut tower brace and a rear strut tower brace as well. Another cool feature is that it does have 4 wheel disc brakes which the actual movie car did not. The rear brakes were drum with a faux disc cover over them. Gotta love Hollywood! Wheel/Tires – I was able to locate a set of the discontinued Axis Se7en 18" wheels. These are the rims that were on the movie car and are extremely hard to come by. I had the wheels completely refinished and mounted them to a brand new set of 225/40Z/R18 Toyo Proxes 4 tires. Known issues – The body kit and paint have been on the car for 10-12 years now and are showing signs of wear. There are scuffs. chips. scratches throughout the car and some spider webbing on the body kit. I have tried to photograph this the best that I can but its hard to get some of it to show up. The graphics have also been on the car for many years now and are showing wear and starting to peel in certain areas. The Hawk has a long scratch down the drivers side that was touched up prior to my ownership. To take make it a fully restored show car. it could stand to have new paint and graphics. However if your plans are to drive it like I have. then you could leave as is. The window tint could also stand to be redone. The sunroof does not work. The car does leak a little oil when sitting. I believe one of the ignition solenoids is going bad or something. Sometimes you have to turn the key a few times before it will turn over but it always starts up. CEL light stays on due to aftermarket mods but has never been a problem. Please review all the pictures in the photobucket link below. Extra parts - I have a folder full of receipts that I will pass along to the new owner. I also have some extra parts that can negotiated in as well. I have the factory hood that is painted to look like carbon fiber and actually looks really good. I have an extra set of wheels and tires and the factory front seats although the driver seat has a hole in it. About us - M. E. S. Motorsports. LLC was founded and started by myself and my best friend of almost 30 years now. While M. E. S. was “officially” put into action around 2012. it really started back in the 90’s during our high school days. Even back then we were in each other’s garage every weekend working on our cars. We have always shared the same enthusiasm for that one thing…. Automobiles! Hot rods. classics. customs. sports cars. fast cars. loud cars. basically anything with 4 wheels and an engine. For as long as I can remember we’ve always enjoyed “playing” with cars and recently decided to share our passion and creativity with others and thus M. E. S. Motorsports. LLC was officially launched . At this time we are not licensed car dealers but rather auto enthusiasts with a passion for buying and selling cars to and from other auto enthusiasts and collectors. Our goal is to sell cars that you can actually get into and drive anywhere! We believe that cars are actually meant to be driven on the road and not just stored. A lot of the cars that we find are from individuals who are simply not using them anymore or that started restoring them but never finished. Some cars may just need some cleaning and a tune up while other may need paint or finish work. Whatever the case is. we try to address any issues and get them road worthy. We hate to see any car just sitting. rotting or not being used. We believe that everyone out there should have the car of their dreams and that they should be able to drive it anywhere they want to go!
