We're selling our 1999 Mitsubishi Galant ES. It current has 139,114 miles and is only being driven to move to alternate sides of the street, with occasional drives around a few blocks to keep everything in shape.
It currently does *not* pass Wisconsin emissions, due to a bad O2 sensor. The codes are:
P0136: O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0141: O2 Sensor Heater Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
We're ultimately selling the car because it was hit by an uninsured and suspended driver, which resulted in damage to the driver's side of the car. The door still opens and the powered mirror still moves, but it is not in good cosmetic shape. Overall the interior of the car is in good shape for the age of the vehicle, but the outside is definitely reflective of the many Wisconsin winters it has gone through.
Other issues:
-O2 sensor, as mentioned
-Driver's side door damage, as mentioned
-Other rusting and pitting
-Loud exhaust noises
-Missing/broken glovebox handle
-Removed alarm fuse
-Rear doors hinges do not open smoothly
-WILL NOT PASS WISCONSIN EMISSIONS WITHOUT O2 SENSOR REPAIR
Good things:
-Ice cold air conditioning
-Recent tires
-CD player
-Lower mileage for the age of the car
-Nice cloth interior
-Functional sliding sun roof
Blue Book lists the high price for this car around $1,750. I've told you what's wrong with it, you tell me what it's worth. We're really hoping to sell this week.
