This is a 1988 Nissan Patrol / Nissan Safari short wheel base Diesel 5 speed wagon with twin diff locks. It was originally sold in Tokyo Japan. It was then imported to the USA in 2014. I purchased it from the importer and fitted the tires. front diff lock. heavy duty suspension arms and the stereo. It is a RIGHT HAND DRIVE with 154K miles (248kms) it drives great and get excellent mileage. It has a clean Tennessee title. You will be amazed at how capable and reliable these are. The only bad is a hole in the driver’s seat. and the fuel gauge does not work all the time. has a few small scratches from age but not bad. no signs of rust anywhere I can see. It has a spare wheel and 35 inch BF Goodrich mud terrain tire not shown that has not been on the road. it is just too big to fit on the rear door. also comes with a few spare parts and old suspension parts if required. This is a very unique car in this country. You will be asked about it everywhere you go. They were never sold in the USA. although they probably should have. Why by another jeep Rubicon like everyone else when you can stand out from the crowd with this twin diff locked diesel swb Nissan Patrol/ Safari. Not only would this be as capable as many jeeps. Toyotas and rock crawlers it will also be a lot more reliable. The Y60 GQ Patrol was radically different mechanically from its predecessors as it was the first patrol with coil sprung suspension. proving to be both more comfortable and more capable over rough ground. All Y60 patrols had a three-link live axle suspension set-up at the front. and having a five-link set-up at the rear. Sway bars were included on both front and rear coil-sprung live axles. Power steering was standard on all models. All wagons have disc brakes both front and rear. The introduction of synchromesh on reverse gear was another improvement over the previous model. A vacuum or electric solenoid operated manual rear differential lock is fitted to the rear. This Patrol also has a PTO-driven front-mounted winch. with an in-cab control lever found to the right of the gearstick. The Patrol was branded 'Safari' in Japan. Other features include heated seats. central locking. air conditioning. electric windows. LED driving lights. double din stereo with reverse camera and it also comes with a brand new Turbocharger. manifold and lines. The TD42 is a 85kW/264Nm 4. 2-litre OHV diesel six-cylinder engine mated with a 5 speed overdrive gearbox. the reliability of the TD42 is almost legendary. These TD42 Diesel engines lend themselves well to being turbo charged. I will supply the new turbo and manifold I have with this sale. Patrols are also known for their really strong axles and good factory locker (when so equipped). The part time 4wd system uses automatic locking front hubs that will disengage the front axle to save wear and tear as well as fuel. The front end was rebuilt with new seals and bearing 1000 miles ago when the front diff lock was fitted. It also had new front end bushes. heavy duty adjustable panhard rods and arms fitted at the same time. The tires are BF Goodrich mud terrain 35 inch on the standard factory 15 x 7 steel rims. The four road tires have done 500 miles and the spare is still brand new. Price is $14. 00 obo no trades. no international. no scammers and I don’t need help to sell.
