This is an extremely fun, rofessionally-built, nd rare drop-top street rod with tons of upgrades to make it run and drive every bit as good as it looks. It gets ridiculous attention at car shows and cruise nights, so be prepared for that. And YES, he color does look like the pictures in the sunlight.
The LONG list of features starts with a drivetrain featuring an aluminum-headed 355 small block V8, urbly cam, reat sounding gear-drive, eramic-coated headers, utomatic transmission, eidt's front end, wheel disc brakes, -wheel adjustable coilovers, ord 9-inch rear end, oly gas tank, tc. It sounds amazing, rives beautifully and feels like a much newer car. It does not feel overtly heavy or clunky, nd it handles very well.
This was not a cheap build, s evidenced by the number of options put into this car, ncluding power steering, ower brakes, ower trunk release, power seats left and right, intage Heat and A/C, M/FM/CD stereo system w/remote, ilt wheel, ruise control, ull leather interior, ull leather wheel, eather console including cup holders and hidden power seat controls, hrome tach, nd a full set of Stewart Warner gauges in the original housings/locations. Unlike in most hot rods, verything in this one works! That includes lights, ipers, ignals, orn, ruise control, C, nd stereo. Interior condition is excellent, ncluding beautifully painted dash, ew chrome, ew gauges, nd full console with hidden multi-adjustable dual power seats.
The car was properly chopped 2 inches to give it the right street rod look (if you've seen non-chopped convertibles of this era you know what we mean). It has a V-butted windshield, nd the top is a high quality gray cloth that goes up and down easily, atches firm, as a glass rear window and tight-fitting matching boot.
Paint is a truly mesmerizing electric blue metallic base/clear that shows beautifully, ll new stainless trim, renched headlight bezels with new chrome, ual chrome side mirrors, echromed front grille w/red trimmed inserts, lue dot tail lights, nd nice chrome on all the windows (which go up and down just as they should). Wheels are chrome (not polished) American Racing 15" units with new rubber filling up the wheel wells, and the car is lowered in the front.
The restoration is about 10 yrs old and has 14000 well-sorted miles on it. It has no known mechanical issues at all, nd has only a few minor cosmetic flaws, one of which require attention unless you just want to take it to the next level. It is ready to drive, how, nd enjoy with the turn of the key.
