Background:

Let me begin with a little background. This gorgeous Ford was original delivered from the factory not to any old Ford dealer, ut to Chariot Coach, o build an amazing luxury tow rig. Let's start with the standard features found on the base truck before Chariot worked their magic:

This added an additional $18,000 to the price tag bringing the before tax price to $69,860. This was NOT CHEAP, ecause the truck was NOT CHEAP. This was the top of the line way to tow, ork or play, ith comfort to rival any modern luxury SUV. It has exclusively been serviced by Ford dealers or on occasion highly reputable independent shops even after it's factory warranty passed. It has been the pinnacle of service standard and care. And even while being driven low miles, t never sat for than a few days without some local exercise.

It is SUCH a treat to drive such a nice, ell cared Ford truck. Most at this point are high miles or have SO MUCH neglected service or have been beaten badly from work. Not this beauty. She tight, tarts right up, uns perfect and drives smoothly. Even without a load in the bed or a trailer behind it, his truck drives smoothly and I think much better than a F350 due in part to its greater weight. Forget bouncing around like a rodeo, he drives like an F250! It really changes the experience of Ford truck ownership drastically to have a nice ride paired with a luxury interior! This truck was babied from day 1. ZERO accidents. ZERO issues. CLEAN Carfax.

The Condition and Service:

This truck has been ENTHUSIASTICALLY and PROFESSIONALLY maintained and serviced and is a high standard for Ford service!

Let's start on the engine and drivetrain:

-ENGINE

This engine has LOW miles for the year (a LOW average of about 4,800 a year), 8,000 miles appear on the odometer. Boy, h boy, s it rare and great to see a Ford truck with such low miles! It was driven and enjoyed as it should be, ut being owned by someone who wanted to enjoy it for decades, t was showed more than generous preemptive care. The motor is very healthy and has loads of smooth power! And a happy Ford diesel will go and go and go happily for hundreds of thousands of miles. Glow plugs light for only moment with no long wait. Engine starts with a twist of the key, ettles into idle perfectly. No smoking or turbo issues. She is in wonderful shape with only some light moisture at some of the typical seals, o leaks. And NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. NO ABS LIGHTS! NO GLOWPLUG LIGHTS! Recent oil change and no debris or shavings in it!

-TRANSMISSION

Shifts are quick, mooth and almost totally imperceptible.

-DIFFERENTIALS

NO clunks going into gear. Nice and tight and ready to pull a house! The rear diff housing is the size one!

-BATTERIES

Starts right up, o issues cold or hot. Both batteries are recently replaced.

Lets move to the suspension and brakes:

-SUSPENSION

Great shocks which damper the ride very well. No excessive bouncing and they feel wonderfully tight in corners. Though she isn't a sports car she handles like one - confident in turns and tight! Springs show no sag.

-BRAKES

Newer brakes pads in the front and rear, he truck brakes great. No ABS lights! Confident pedal, o issues!

-STEERING

Tight steering rack with no slop or play!

-4WD SYSTEM

4WD Low and High both work great! A true rarity to see a dually with 4WD!

Let's continue to the exterior:

-PAINT

The paint is beautiful! It is a 8 out of 10. Shiny, eautiful black paint was recently polished, inished and waxed by a highly acclaimed detailer here in LA. It looks GORGEOUS. NO ACCIDENTS! CLEAN CARFAX. NO STORIES. The paint is deep and has a wonderful luster! No hood fade or chipping! The truck looks much better than most 50k mile cars let alone a 10 year old truck! There is a small dent on the rear tailgate on the driver side (as seen in the pictures) and there is some light paint fade on the top of the sunvisor (can not see it unless you stand inside the bed. There is some light clearcoat chipping in front of the bed, nd a few scuffs from a tool box that was mounted there. These are "major" flaws and do nothing to to take away from the overall shape and condition of the truck are not very noticeable unless staring right at them. They are all very minor. Remember this is a near 10 year old truck, here may be some very minor scratches, ery minor wear not discussed in detail etc, ut they are well below any expectation level for Ford truck or cars of this year. Even against more modern cars the paint will compete head to head - it really is beautiful.

-TIRES

Loads of tread life left on the tires! Recent retreadable tires have 75% tread left both front and rear and are nice condition.

-WHEELS

The 19.5" wheels look wonderful on the truck! They were just recently cleaned and look great. They all are in very nice shape with no major flaws, ith the exception of the passenger side front some light curb swirls on the wheel and hubcap, ut because of the overall shine and shape, ot very noticeable.

-BUMPERS, ALANCES and PLASTICS

The plastics are in wonderful shape and free of any major flaws. No big, roken pieces as found on so many other trucks. There is some minor typical sun fade, ut not significant.

-GLASS/MIRRORS

Not to let a pebble defeat this truck, he windshield is in great shape! Beautifully clear glass makes a world of difference. It makes the truck feel brand new! The door glass is wonderful shape!

-UNDERCARRIAGE

Nice undercarriage! No rust, ot or trail scars! Some light surface oxidation on springs, xles etc from stone chips and so on, ypical with a truck that is driven off the show room floor.

-LIGHTS

Lights work perfectly!

Onto the cabin:

-SEATS

The Gray Premium Leather seats are in wonderful shape! The material is SO soft and comfortable. I truly love driving this truck. You sit high and comfortably in these soft seats! The leather has been VERY well cared for and shows only VERY minor flaws at best. I hate to say that without including specifics, ut truly they are that small. The interior has been recently cleaned and conditioned as well and is overall is VERY nice shape! Rear seats are in near perfect shape and have minor use at best. No big wrinkles, o material worn through, o big frays, o slices, r issues. Just gorgeous seats! Even when I get in the truck, kind of raise myself up a little with the steering wheel as so that I sit down into the seat instead of sliding across it. I would hate to disturb how pretty they are! NON-SMOKERS CAR and STILL SMELLS LIKE A BRAND NEW FORD INSIDE.

-DOOR PANELS

Check out the top of the drivers side door panel. Go ahead I will wait, t's down below. What did you see? NO matted dirt and stains! Nearly every door panel on a Ford truck has matted and dirty tops, roken plastics or issues from wear. Not here! The door panels are in wonderful shape throughout!

-HEADLINER

Beautiful, o sags or stains! The overhead wood console has some cracking in the finish, ut its hard to see because of the dark coloring, nd it being overhead.

-CARPET

Take a minute to scroll down to check out these carpets. Stunning carpets and floor mats in the truck! It has been shampooed and cleaned as part of the overall detail. When was the last time you saw a full sized Ford with clean carpets? These are work trucks right??? Well this one was cared for like a Rolls Royce - heck when you are paying $70k for a pickup, would hope so!

-POWER SEATS

Power seat functions work as they should. The lumbar and heated functions are not working though on both sides. Perhaps a fuse, s these were a non-factory add on and likely run on a single fuse since they are wired to a single aftermarket panel.
-POWER WINDOWS

All windows work smooth and quickly!

-RADIO and NAVIGATION

The OEM radio works great and sounds even better! No blown speakers or issues! Sirius XM ready!

-AC/HEAT

AC is arctic cold and heat is earth core hot!

-POWER MIRRORS

Power mirrors work perfectly!

-STEERING WHEEL

The finish is very nice, o tears or issues or issues! It has been cleaned and feels great in your hands! It is a real rarity to find these wheels in good shape!

-CARGO BED

Wonderful shape with no dents, ajor flaws or issues. Ready for a 5th wheel, umber or just a place for your finished coffee cup.

The Experience

There is no Ford truck ownership like owning a low mile PowerStroke turbo diesel, et alone a diesel, WD, ually, ustom conversion in stunning black. It is just a much different experience then any other. There is a tightness, cleanliness, nd sense of what this truck was like when brand new. The clunks, attles and normal wear for any higher mile car is gone. Let alone, emember every component only has that many fewer miles on it. Combined with loads of preventative and scheduled maintenance it really does not get any better for a Ford truck or any car for that matter. I am sure lots of guys looking for a Ford F250 or Ford F350 would say, ell she looks amazing, ut do I need an F550 and is it too much like a BIG truck. The easy and simple answer is no, or every reason this truck makes more sense. The ride is better than a F350, as retreadbale tires, ull luxury conversion keeps things comfy, ore load capacity, ore towing capacity, ore fuel capacity and built to be abused like a commercial truck, his is the truck to last the sands of time and the hammers of abuse. And yet it looks like a regular pickup and so much more. This F550 is fantastic. If you lean into the throttle, t gives you the sense that you could pull a castle from its foundation and it would only be known by glancing in the rear view mirror. She gets up and moves too! It's not all torque with no horsepower to back it up. She will merge onto a highway faster than your family's daily driver. And she is as comfortable as a Rolls Royce. It has all the power it had from the factory an then some, nd from even a little gas is torquey and responsive. An off road guy? Though this truck has never been offroaded, t has 4WD which is just aching for some dirt. What a PERFECT rig for taking out your toy hauler, uads, irt bikes and family. Heck, ook your friends truck and trailer up to it as well! You won't be able to tell driving it! Also, hy spend $50, 0, 0k++ on a new Ford F350 or bigger when you can have such low miles on this beauty for a fraction??

I hope you can tell by my long ad that this truck is a great pre-owned and beautiful Ford. There are other Ford trucks, ut if you do find one for sale and it has lower miles, etter care and better options, urge you to buy it! Don't spend big money on a truck from a "turn-em-and-burn-em" style dealer when all they do to promote the truck is say a few things they think people like to hear. As you may tell from my ad, know the care that these trucks need and the details that make them tier 1, rom a tier 2 or worse and I hope to have addressed them to those of you that know as well.
