Very nice. all original 1990 Olds Ninety Eight - in fantastic condition. Must See! I bought this car two years ago from a car collector because I have always liked this body style. but was too young to afford one when they were new. I've had a great time tinkering with it and am now ready for another project. The car really is in magnificent condition to be 25 years old but I will try to describe it (even with its imperfections) to the best of my ability. Please ask any questions. The car has just under 55K miles. runs great. and gets 20+mpg. Interior is immaculate. headliner great. no smells. stains. or anything like that. Has all power options. A/C. cruise. trip computer. pretty much everything that a car could have in 1990. The only thing that does not work is the redundant control mechanism on the steering wheel. - The car sat in an air conditioned garage for several years driven only on occasion. When I got it. I started driving it regularly on weekends and of course a few little gremlins popped up as expected. Everything that needed to be has been fixed/replaced including the blower control module. alternator & battery. new serpentine belt. radiator hoses. and . coolant fan relay. There is not a scratch on the car and no swirl marks in the paint. The door edge guard on the passenger rear has a couple of nicks. but you'd have to look for them. All chrome trim is in excellent shape. doors shut solid. glass is excellent. door jams are clean. The car drives and rides well. A/C works (converted to 134). stereo cassette works great. cruise works. all windows go up and down like new. Drivers window even has the auto-down function I didn't know was available back then. The less than perfect things: The Michelin tires are in good shape. but are 10 years old. If I were driving the car daily. I'd replace the front struts. they are a little soft. but fine for weekend rides. At that point. the CV boots could be updated as well even though they are fine now with no tears. The muffler and tailpipe are original and may need replacing at some point soon although they work fine and the car runs quiet. The car recently developed a hesitancy to start so I cleaned the mass air-flow sensor and all is good again with that. I also replaced the air temp sensor on the bottom of the air filter box. I don't totally understand when the radiator fan is supposed to come on. maybe you GM guys might know. The car runs at about 190 in warm weather with the A/C on. The A/C forces the radiator fan to come on. However. it you're not running the A/C the temp appears to go much higher before the fan will come on. Weird to me. but I've read that is normal. All I can think of at this point. Please ask any questions and I'll try to answer. I would like to see this car go to a good home. Thanks for Looking!
