Much to my sadness, have to sell my 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88. When I bought this car, had no intention whatsoever of ever selling it, ut I'm in a personal position where I have no choice. Since I never intended to sell it, made the following substantial upgrades. I have service records/receipts for everything.
This car has just under 34,000 original factory miles. I welcome any inspection to verify the low mileage.
I have gone through great pains to ensure that this car does not leak oil, ransmission fluid, r anything else.
All parts (except the battery) are from Fusick Automotive (the only company that I know of that makes replica OEM parts for an Oldsmobile of this era). The AC Delco battery is still well within warranty.
Original factory Power Steering and Power Brakes still function perfectly.
Upgrades/maintenance:
Complete transmission rebuild and band adjustment.
Replaced brake drums
Carburetor Rebuild
All new hoses and engine lines
New belts (except for one, ut I have the replacement in the trunk that I'll include).
All fluids changed and up to date
Upgraded windshield wiper motor from vacuum to electric power, ith adaptor so that the factory in-dash original wiper switch can be used to control the wipers (EXTREMELY clean installation).
New fuel tank with cap
New fuel sending unit
Modern stereo system (Pioneer concealed inside glove compartment with Rockford Fosgate speakers painted to match).
New oil and transmission pans and filters.
Tastefully concealed aftermarket air conditioner with updated control/fuse console
Complete tune up including spark plugs & wires
BRAND NEW 12 volt Alternator
New headlights
Factory-correct trunk resurfacing
Upholstered interior in premium tuck-and-roll vinyl to match exterior paint
NOTE: The car has been lowered 2" with custom fabricated dropped uprights, nd leaf spring lowering blocks. THE SPRINGS WERE NOT CUT. This can easily be reversed with a few hours of work. I'm including the OEM uprights with the car. The choice is yours.
Car comes from a smoke free environment.
Problems that the car still has:
Small rust spot on thefront bumper, nd a couple of minor paint blemishes. The paint blemishes have been professionally touched up and blended as smoothly as possibly. Ifyoure local, ome and see the car for yourself and be the judge. There is a photo of the bumper rust. I tried to photograph the paint blemishes to the best of my ability, ut I can't seem to capture them at any angle or under any lighting condition. They're barely visible, nd they don't take away from the overwhelmingly positive impression that the car gives.
