UP FOR AUCTION IS MY 1976 OLDS CUTLASS 'S' Y76 PACKAGE, ERY RARE NORTHWESTER EDITION, UMBERS MATCHING. I AM THE THIRD OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. IT WAS PURCHASED ORIGINALLY IN LEWISTON, DAHO AND SPENT IT'S ENTIRE LIFE THERE UNTIL 2008. THE SECOND OWNER WAS A MECHANIC FOR AN OLDSMOBILE DEALERSHIP WHO PURCHASED IT AS A TRADE IN. HE OWNED IT UNTIL 2008 WHEN HE PASSED AWAY. I PURCHASED IT FROM HIS ESTATE AND DROVE IT TO MONTANA, EGISTERED IT AND DROVE IT BACK TO THE EAST COAST. IT WAS A RUST FREE SURVIVOR AND I HAD IT PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED IN 2009 WITH A BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT IN IT'S ORIGINAL COLOR FIRETHORN RED. THE INTERIOR IS ALL ORIGINAL OTHER THAN THE DRIVERS SEAT WHICH I HAD RE-COVERED, ND THE CARPET HAS BEEN REPLACED. THE INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE FRAME, LOORS, RUNK, TC. ARE ALL PERFECT WITH NO ROT OR DETERIORATION OF ANY KIND. THE VINYL TOP HAS BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED. THE MOTOR, RANSMISSION, ND REAR END HAVE ALL BEEN PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT AND HAVE LESS THAN 500 MILES ON THEM. THE CAR HAS 72,800 MILES ON IT WHICH I BELIEVE TO BE ORIGINAL, ASED ON THE PAPER TRAIL OF REPAIR RECEIPTS THROUGH THE YEARS PROVIDED BY THE FAMILY OF THE PREVIOUS OWNER. THE PAINT SHINES AND LOOKS GREAT BUT THERE ARE A FEW CHIPS, FEW MINOR NORMAL FLEX CRACKS IN THE PAINT ON THE FIBERGLASS HEADER PANEL, ND A VERY SMALL BUBBLE BELOW THE TOP TRIM ON THE DECK LID FILLER PANEL. I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND WILL GO WITH SALE. I ALSO HAVE A COMPLETE SPARE NOSE WITH GRILLS THAT GO WITH THE SALE.ALSO INCLUDED WITH THE SALE IS ALL NEW MOOG UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS FOR FRONT AND REAR. THE CAR HANDLES TIGHT WITH NO WOBBLES OR SWAY, ND CORNERS GOOD WITH THE RALLY SUSPENSION. I WAS GOING TO CHANGE THEM WHEN I DID THE BODY BUSHINGS AND JUST DIDN'T GET AROUND TO DOING IT YET. ALSO INCLUDED WITH THE SALE IS THE FACTORY SHOP MANUAL FOR 76 OLDSMOBILE CHASSIS AND FISHER BODY MANUAL.THE Y- 76 PACKAGE WAS A RARE REGIONAL DEALER PACKAGE. IT CAME WITH CHROME SPORT MIRRORS, ALLY SUSPENSION, ALLY STEERING WHEEL, PECIAL LANDAU TOP, EADER PANEL EMBLEM INSTEAD OF HOOD ORNAMENT, ND REGIONAL BADGES. THIS ONE IS A NORTHWESTER FOR THE NORTHWEST REGION AND I BELIEVE THAT THERE WAS ABOUT 200 PRODUCED. THERE WERE OTHER REGIONAL MODELS SUCH AS THE SILVER BULLET, TARBURST, FO, SO, LE,.....IF YOU GOOGLE Y-76 CUTLASS YOU WILL FIND MORE INFORMATION ON THEM. I LOVE THIS CAR, UT MY DAUGHTER IS GETTING HER LICENSE IN MAY AND I AM OUT OF ROOM TO PUT CARS. I HAVE A 73 FORMULA 455 AS WELL AND SOMETHING HAS TO GO, ND I LOVE THE FIREBIRD JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE.
