Description

Here is my wonderful little 1960 Woseley 15/60 sedan. I bought this car a few years ago and was going to make it my everyday driver and now my landlord has sold my property and have no place to work on my car. Please look at the dash. I striped it and put Zebra wood on it and 15 coats of clear on it. sanding between coats. The interior is perfect. wool carpet. and new seats and door cards. When I got it. the mileage was 40k miles and I put a gas tank in the trunk and changed the oil and it fired right up and ran so quite and smooth. I knew it was low mileage. One morning I came out to the garage and the windshield was in 10. 00 pieces and I thought someone had threw something at it. but as it turns out. the fine people @ Wolseley used tempered glass and the temperature change over night smashed it to bits. So. $400 and 3 months later. I was able to locate a laminated one to replace it with. I love this car and really hate to see it go. and I hope someone else will love it and finish it. The body was designed by Farina and are a Super cool English RH drive car designed by an Italian design house. The Wolseley 15/60 is an automobile which was produced from 1958 to 1961. The 15/60 was the first of the mid-sized Pininfarina-styled automobiles manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). Launched in December 1958 as part of BMC's Wolseley brand. the design would eventually be shared with seven other marques. The first generation of the mid-sized unitary construction Farinas was introduced with the Wolseley 15/60. Within months. the similar Riley 4/68. Austin A55 Cambridge Mark II. MG Magnette Mark III. and Morris Oxford V appeared as well. With its leather seats and polished wooden dashboard the Wolseley was positioned as the up-market non-sporting version in the range. The very last picture is from the factory and show exactly how I was going to paint the car. Again. super cool! So. the radiator was sent out and cleaned and I had the front bumper and grille re-chromed and straightened. so that is done. You will need a headlight trim ring and a tail lamp assembly. but I sourced those through the Woseley club in Australia and they have a 15/60 they are parting out and have all the pieces you need. The car has one spot of rust on the one door and NO other rust anywhere. The seats are like new and I had them completely rebuilt with new foam and supports. The material I used is Mellow Hide. which is basically leather with out the wonderful leather smell. You will need to do the brakes and the clutch master. I also have the original factory workshop manual. not a reprint. The car rolls very easy. I have all of the door hardware. I just needed to do the wood on the door caps to put the door cards back on the car. I have the wood. and all of the handles. I have a clean title on the car. I have invested a lot of money in my little girl and I am sad to see her go. but I will not just stick her in some storage lot and let her sit until I can find a place to go. Please call me with any questions @ 949-306-5390 Howard. The Woseley club in Australia is very helpful and will answer any questions you have. This is the only 15/60 that I have ever seen in CA and I go to a lot of car shows. Easy to finish and will be so much fun.
