Up for auction is this cute little convertible. Many of these are assembled by the owners and not painted. so they are white with brown fenders. This one looks really cool with this color scheme. This is what the factory should have painted them!I purchased this car 4-5 years ago and completely restored it. It was white and brown like all the others so we completely disassemble it and repainted it maroon and black. The black fenders we call black cherry. It's black with maroon metal flake. Inside they look black but out in the sun you can see the maroon metal flake shine through. very cool! Below is a list of items that we did while restoring it. The previous owner did a really crappy job at building it so we basically had to start over. This is a kit from Classic Motor Carriages that we assume was purchased and assembled in the mid 80's. It came with it's own body and chassis as a kit. then you either used a 70's pinto or mustangs suspension. brakes. steering etc. to finish it. New base coat clear coat paintNew brakes pads. calipers and master cylinderNew brake linesNew ball jointsNew tie rodsNew front dropped spindlesNew fuse block and wring harnessNew high energy ignition with rev limiter (Generic MSD)New BF Goodrich tires (5) including spare - less that 250 milesNew rear air shocks (For extra support with rear passengers)New timing beltNew transmission pan. gasket and filter and mountNew oil pan gasketNew rear LED tail lightsNew chrome side mirrorsNew tan leather interiorNew Mojave HeaterNew headlightsNew exhaustNew fog lightsThe interior is a tan simulated leather. It wears and feels like soft leather but wont fall apart if it gets wet. The floor is even covered with it! I was going to have custom floor mats made for it. but I'm onto another project and I've lost interest in it. It still needs a little tinkering and adjustments but all the hard stuff and big $ stuff is finished. I have WAY more money into it than whats it's worth but that wasn't the point. I enjoy building and working on cars. I'm need deep into another one and I'm tired of seeing this one set and not get used. So it's time to clean out the garage and move on. It makes a great parade and weekend ice cream cone getter. I gets TONS of attention and it's a blast to drive. It likes tooling around town but It will move right down the highway of you want to. Don't expect a tire frying race car. the little 2. 3 runs like a sewing machine but it isn't too powerful. I'm 5'-11" 165lbs and fit in it quite well. The original kit cars came with a top and side curtians that look hidious. I have made this car into a roadster and none of these items are available. Face it would you want to drive this car in the rain anyway? Nether did I. If it want nice weather I didn't take this car. If I have time before auctions end I'll look into the turn signals and radio problem to see whats up. no promises though. Thanks for looking and if you want a car that no one else has than this is the one!Got a clean clear title ready to go to the new owner. The Title shows the car as a reconstructed 1978 model. Most likely a 78 pinto or mustang.
