Description

Up for auction is a beautiful 1972 Triumph TR-6. It has 77. 65 original miles and is in fantastic condition. The black paint is outstanding as is the grey leatherette interior. All brightwork looks great and the original Triplex glass is outstanding and has all new weather stripping. The safety stripe top is in great shape and is free from tears. The red roll bar is a great touch and comes with a black padded cover. The car also comes with the original spare. jack. and wrench. The Lucas Tripod headlights look great. but are currently not working. I believe it may be the switch. The car is pre-wired for fog lamps. but I have not installed any. It has a 4 speed manual transmission and comes with a currently uninstalled overdrive unit. The engine is of course a 2. 5L straight 6 with dual SU carburetors. Some of the upgrades include a Moto-Lita leather wrapped steering wheel. A decked cylinder head for higher compression rstio. a lightweight flywhell. 8mm performance plug wires. high output gold coil and Pertronix ignition. high flow electric fuel pump. Delco-Remy alternator. performance camshaft. stainless steel header and exhaust with quad tips. black Panasport racing wheels with new Goodyear Eagle Eagle GA 205/60 R16 tires. finned aluminum valve cover. chrome oil filler cap. and stainless steel fan shroud and steering column. The car runs great. starts right up and handles like a dream. I took it for a spirited drive today and it was a blast! All the gauges work accept for the tachometer. Probably a loose wire. The car is always garage stored and never driven in bad weather. It has been stored all winter and could probably use a tune up. but it still drives and sounds great. I will include an indoor car cover as well. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Unfortunately my daughter has racked up some medical expenses that I need to address. so the car has to go. Feel free to email me with any questions. or come see the car in person. This car is 43 years old and has no warranty. British cars can be temperamental. but they are worth the trouble! Happy bidding.
