CA 925-846-1451 DETAILS-THIS PARTICULAR 2008 WCM ULTRALITE S2K The World Class Motorsports (WCM) Ultralite S2K is the preferred model among the affordable Lotus 7 tribute cars for those seeking serious performance and superb handling. Weighing only 1240 lbs. and with 240 horsepower (1 hp per 5. 16 lbs. ). the Ultralite is not only extremely fast but well-constructed and versatile. The car is fully street licensed (and titled under California SB100) with legal lights. turn signals. horn and safety equipment. The car is titled in California as a 2008 WCM Ultralite S2K under Specially Constructed Vehicle (SPCNS) sequence number 2012204 from 2012 and bears VIN 1W9UL11228L389090. The "humps" in the rear of the hood direct the wind above the driver/passenger who sit low in the cockpit. There are two optional windscreen choices that can be purchased from the manufacturer. WCM. in Texas for a modest cost of $125. 00~ that could be considered should the new owner be using the car largely as a street car. However. as is. the Ultralite can be driven to an autocross event or road racing track where it will compete with considerably higher horsepower. full blown race cars and exotics. A word of caution is appropriate prior to beginning the listing. This car is not for the faint of heart or inexperienced driver. With 0-60mph times of 3. 5~ seconds and a reported 0-100 and back to 0 in ten seconds. this car is VERY fast. The excellent suspension design. large 4-wheel disc brakes and "sticky" tires make the car a wonderful car and. in the proper hands. the car is safe and predictable. The last owner drove it a bit on the mountain roads around his Santa Cruz home and found it to be a blast. He also auto-crossed it a handful of times but used it primarily on the street. The car passed safety inspection by the American Auto-Cross Series as evidenced by 2012 and 2013 stickers on the roll bar. It has an accident-free. clean CARFAX report. HISTORY OF THIS PARTICULAR CAR This car's construction began in Texas in 2004 but the Ultralite was not completed uand titled until 2010. The car was partially built by Brian Anderson. the original owner of World Class Motorsports (WCM). and then finally finished by their original customer. The Honda S2000 engine and transmission came out of a car that had sustained rear end damage carrying VIN # 1W9UL11228L389090. Reportedly. the "donor car" had only a few thousand miles at the time of the accident so the engine was very fresh. Subsequently. Loren Edwards. new owner of WCM. purchased it back from the original owner. He had planned to use it strictly as a track car but only did a few track days in it. The car had 4000 miles on it when the most recent Northern California owner purchased it in 2012. He has put only 500 miles on it since then. auto-crossing it about 10 times over the past 3 years. He stated "it drives and runs great with no known issues. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. " Finally. unlike similar cars that we have owned and driven. thisUltralite is a pleasure to drive.
