MotoeXotica is excited to announce our latest addition, loyd’s 2003 Hyundai Tiburon from the television series Entourage! “I’m driving home in a prop car from The Fast and the Furious” is Ari’s reaction to his assistant Lloyd’s Hyundai Tiburon, oth car and character delivering perfect punchlines. Just driving a Hyundai Tiburon isn’t enough for Lloyd, is car was given a Veil Side body kit. Despite his body kit being extremely rare and expensive in the United States, t makes his car look childish and ridiculous; which is the main point.

Still remaining mostly stock, his Hyundai was mainly given superficial upgrades. Underneath the Veil Side body kit is a basically new Hyundai Tiburon 2.0L coupe. Included in the body kit are a front splitter, ide skirts, ood, ear splitter, poiler, nd various other small pieces. Veil Side is a Japanese tuning house, hich rarely is seen outside the Japanese market. They are known for very high quality carbon fiber body kits and as a result has produced a cult-like following in Japan. Primarily viewed as a status symbol for wealthy car owners, hese body kits are quite uncommon even in Japan which makes them extremely rare here and very sought after in Tuner circles. This one of a kind car is in overall very good condition with minor scratches on the bottom of the lower front splitter and side skirts as to be expected from regular driving. Carbon fiber composes most of the hood and rear spoiler and is in very good condition, ith the only defect being very minor delamination on the hood. Unlike most body kits, his Veil Side kit fits extremely well with no flimsiness or indication of improper fitment. Included with the kit are body matched orange headlight cowls that give a more aggressive profile. Since this car was mainly used as a prop in Entourage the paint and body panels are in great condition with no noticeable imperfections. Never pictured during the show are the stickers from all of the vendors that contributed to the build, hich now are placed on the car.

Taking a step inside Lloyd’s car “The Fast and the Furious” motif continues with color themed panels, acing seats, nd massive stereo system. Replacing the stock Tiburon seats are cloth Sparco racing seats which are very comfortable and installed on the factory seat rails that allow seat position adjustment. Both seats are in very good condition, ith only the driver’s seat bottom showing signs of use. The rear passenger seat was left stock and is virtually unused. Also the gear selector knob has been replaced with a Veil Side 5-speed knob. Body color matched interior trim pieces are placed around the center console and various other places; all are in great condition. Finally to complete the joke on Lloyd is the ridiculously loud sound system. A Kenwood touch-screen head unit with navigation and DVD capability allows the driver to control the massive sub-woofers and speakers located in the trunk. Once again orange paneling surrounds the twin sunk in Kicker amps, long with both huge Kicker sub-woofers. Combined, loyd’s sound system is loud enough to be picked-up on a microphone within a city block! Besides the listed upgrades the interior is stock Hyundai Tiburon.

Mechanically the producers left Lloyd’s Tiburon mainly stock, ith the exception of a cold air intake and larger muffler tips. The cold air intake is a stainless steel model by AEM, hich gives the car added throttle response and more importantly, healthier engine tone. Leaving the stock exhaust pipes with the Veil Side body kit would look even more ridiculous; to resolve this problem larger diameter mufflers and muffler tips were added to fill-in the rear splitter. However the exhaust noise does not seem to be any louder than stock, ust a different look. a 16 valve 2.0 L 4-cylinder, he performance doesn’t match the exterior appearance. The performance difference between the actual performance and perceived performance only increases the humor of Lloyd driving this Tiburon. Finally black with a chrome lip Racing Hart wheels were placed on the car to continue the cars theme. Newer Toyo tires are mounted on the wheels and have plenty of tread life on them still.
