For sale or trade is my1955 Studebaker Champion proudlyshowing off her new midnight blue partydress!Shehas a259 V-8 engine on which I had the seals and gaskets replaced when I got her last year. I am told this was not the standard enginefor the 55 Champion; they came with a flat head six cylinder motor but the Commander and President models had this option. The wheels, ires, attery, egulator, uel pump, carpet, eadliner and interior door panels were all replaced last yearafter she was painted. No rust or rot in the car that we could find; floor boards, ockers, enders, runk are all in good shape. The previous owners had removed and shaved the rear door handles but the doors will open from the inside rear. They also put the fuel cell in the trunk; I guess to make her look more like a coupe. Original manual steering anddrum brakes ( new cylinders in 2014). Her original transmission was manual but now she hasan automatic transmission with the 1955 shift pattern (P,N,D,L,R) on the column. She runs strong and cruises sweetly. I have a below market reserve so don't be afraid to bid if this car catches your interest at all! You can get into the classic1955 market with this carfor under $4,000!!!The title is a Maryland title in my name and free and clear of liens or encumbrances! Give this gal a new home and thanks for looking!
