REDUCED RESERVE!
Giordano's Vintage Motors is pleased to offer for sale this just In Studebaker! A 1927 Dictator Victoria Coupe. Great running flathead 6 cyl. engine with 3 spd updated manual transmission (shifted on the column). The column shift is an old kit conversion requiring a more modern transmission. This terrific and rare car is an amateur, ull body off restoration on a very dry, ontana car- a superb driver that is tour-ready now.
Number vitals. Serial number: (tag riveted to the left frame rail) 1367134
Body tag: EU-C 3805
Engine number: 22069
Total mileage as shown on the speedometer, 0844
The Dictator name was first used on this car, mid-year decision by Studebaker to re-name the venerable 242 cubic inch Standard Six. The engine starts and runs quite well, uns quietly, as appropriate oil pressure (remembering that the early engines did not have very high pressures) Cold pressure shows at a little under 30 PSI. The up-dated transmission does shift very nicely. The original vacuum can fuel delivery system has been changed to an electric pump. The previous owner/restorer added a coolant recovery system. The radiator is good and works well. The car does not leak excessively, lthough like every car of the era does leak some. The original mechanical brakes stop the car well and do stop it straight This car does have somewhat more modern aftermarket amber fog lights that do work.
Desirable, ilitary style steel wheels, river quality two tone paint, nd green amateur quality but serviceable Green cloth interior. The very low rust, traight body is a feature of this fine car.
