In reference to the issue of the car being declared as stolen at one time my Mazda dealer where the car was purchased by the first owner and myself, was told the first owner parked the car illegally and the car was impounded by the city. She came back a few days later and since the car was missing she reported it stolen. The car stayed in impound for a few months before everyone realized. So the car was not really stolen.
