1961 Perfect Patina bug! It has the look!

This 61 Bug was purchased from Idaho andhas someamazingly originaland rare features. It has been updated to a 12 volt system. It runs a 1600 single port engine that runs smooth! The 4 spd transmission shifts as it should and does not pop out of gear.

This car has rare factory blue steering wheel, hifter, brake handle and blue floor matting. The interior in it is all original except for new carpet but the original rubber matting was retained. The door panels and even the seats are original. It also has the sun visors but the headliner is toast.

The car has a 4" narrowed front beam and lowered in the rear as well. IT SITS LOW. It is riding on newer tires and Sprint Star wheels. New brakes and they work well. It is a blast to drive but don't plan on going anyway in a hurry because everyone wants to see it. The dash is very nice original paint and wiring in the car is in tact. Headlights, urn signal, peedometer etc. all work. The pans and heater channels are solid. Only one small spot on the pan the size of a 50 cent piece. Nothing that I was worried about. The front and rear aprons are not rusty but the front is wrinkled from being low. (not noticeable from outside). The windshield has a bulls eye but they are cheap and easy to install should you decided to change it out. I left it because it matched the car. The drivers window regulator is stripped. The window will still roll up and down with help but a brand new regulator comes with the car, just have not had time to install it.

New items that have been purchased for the car are: new carpet, ew glove box, ew wire cover, ew trunk carpet, ew pedal pads, ew engine compartment surround, ew wiper blades, ew window regulator, ew door glass sweeps plus a lot more.

I have owned several VW's and this one has the best to offer of any I have had. The right patina, riginality, nd drivability. This previous owner drove this car as his daily driver for a couple of years before I bought it. You are welcome to see the car, r have someone look for you, RIOR to bidding, s your opinion could vary.

I will include the roof rack with the sale of the car. You can by this car with confidence you will have one of the coolest Vdubs around and get a ton of attention with it. It is fun to drive!!
